Snakes Have Always Been Snakes

by Frank Sherwin, M.A. *

It's an old story. An animal or plant is discovered in sedimentary rocks by paleontologists and it pushes the organism's origin further back by many millions of years—but it's always a plant or animal already known to science. Granted, some of these fossilized creatures are extinct, but that's no indication they evolved.

This time snakes are the subject of a recent, unexpected discovery that supposedly pushes their first appearance back an additional 65 million years.1 Evolutionists were shocked at the discovery of four snake fossils, the oldest (Eophis underwoodi) dating back to "167 million years" by evolutionary dating. Prior to these discoveries the oldest snake fossil was a mere "102 million years old."

Creation scientists maintain snakes have always been snakes. Evolutionists say snakes evolved from some non-snake ancestor—evidently much longer than 167 million years ago. The problem is the complete lack of evidence of "modern" snakes having evolved from non-snake ancestors. Fossils of transitional snake-like creatures do not exist; there are only questionable theories and conjecture.

They're not talking about THIS snake.

...and, of course, their lack of evolution is further proof of the theory of evolution.

No, they are not.

But the statement is accurate in his case as well.

Hey, I’m going to make fun of stupid statements no matter who makes them. And last week’s claims in regards to the bacteria that had never evolved were just plain stupid.

A friend of mine once captioned that photo, and Clinton’s philosophy, as follows:

“I does what I likes,
and I likes what I does”.

It’s funny how these scientists aren’t covering up these “shocking discoveries,” seeing how they do so much damage to the evolution conspiracy.

My apologies, WayneS. That was meant for the original poster, a la, this self-serving activism here lately is counterproductive, and promoting “scientific” evidence of “creation” is simply deranged.

God works in mysterious ways and man is nowhere able to fathom His thoughts. The first sentence in Genesis, written thousands of years ago before the almighty scientists appeared on the landscape explained everything very succinctly,”In the Beginning (TIME) God created the Universe (Space) and the Earth (Matter). There it is Space,Time, Matter.and how long did it take for scientists to discover, “SpaceTime and Matter?”

Okay. However, it is also deranged for evolutionists to claim that an organism that has never evolved serves as proof that the theory of evolution is correct.

Perhaps they would be better served investigating WHY certain organisms do not seems to have evolved in accordance with that theory instead of shifting in to CYA mode every time they hit a bump in the road.

Based on the behavior of some evolution scientists, an objective alien observer might conclude that their beliefs are every bit as much a religion as those of creationists.

First off, we haven't been around for very long. Secondly, we may have 'discovered' it, but we still don't understand it.

In case anyone wants to read a more informative article on this discovery, below is a link. These snakes had legs and appear to be transitional.

What do creationists make of this creature? Hint: it's not a snake.

What’s in a name?

Its amazing how frauds claim naming rights to things they didn’t create.
