HOUSTON The political operation of potential 2016 presidential candidate Ted Cruz continued to beef up Monday as a top aide to former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich signed onto the senators team.
Rick Tyler, Gingrichs longtime spokesman who served as a top strategist to a super PAC that supported Gingrichs 2012 presidential campaign, will join Cruzs campaign-in-waiting to serve as a senior communications adviser.
I am honored to come on board with Sen. Cruz and join the effort to make D.C. listen to the American people, Tyler said in a statement. I believe he will emerge as the conservative leader of the next generation because he understands that it is not we the bureaucrats, but we the people who make this nation exceptional.
Tyler is the latest addition to the slowly-building political shop that would serve as the backbone of a likely Houston-based presidential campaign. Last fall, Cruz hired three other strategists to join the existing team that masterminded his 2012 upset victory over David Dewhurst: Jeff Roe, a Kansas-City based direct-mail strategist expected to play a top organizational role; Jason Miller, a communications adviser; and Laura Lofstrom, a national fundraising consultant.
Cruz has not yet announced aides who will advise him in the key early-primary states, but he has visited those states early and often ever since winning election to the Senate. Last month, Cruz spoke at gatherings in South Carolina and Iowa, and he will return to the Iowa and New Hampshire next month.
Later this month, on Feb. 20., Cruz will headline a GOP fundraising dinner in Florida.
Toooooooo many Mehhiccccans on his back too.
Ted Cruz? How do you figure?
Come on Ted!
When you were committed to Bellvue, how did you get out?
Can you elaborate, please?
If this guy helps Cruz treat the media as a political opponent rather then an objective arbiter then team Cruz has a chance.
In a poll I saw Sunday, ted was tied with Donald Trump at 3%
He needs some real help
Ducks getting into a row on Cruz control. YES!!
I bet it sounded better in your mind than it looks in print - lots of that going around as insanity takes hold.
“Toooooooo many Mehhiccccans on his back too.”
Brian Williams? Is that you?
I support Ted Cruz but what would he face after the 2016 election as president?
Obama in speaking of the Crusades is justifying modern jihadi atrocities and genocide by conduct of Christians during the middle ages, 900 years ago during the time of Saladin. This was very carefully executed with planning by the White House staff.
This illustrates Obamas view of current political expediency which historians traditionally call historic justice. The view of historic justice is common to virtually every fascist dictator during the modern era, including Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini,General Tojo, Nikolai Ceausescu, and others including Robert Mugabe, and Idi Amin Dada. The alleged sins of the forefathers will be paid by descendants who had nothing to do with their being committed, and indeed in Obamas case, those descendants elected him to office in a paroxysm of populist, hoodwinking
charisma.Recorded tapes of both Hitler and Obamas strident , stirring political speeches , their gestures, the exhortive tones, are very similar, and in some cases almost identical.
Few today understand the historic context which is something that Winston Churchill left to us as an inherited view of the history analysis of fascism.Obama has an agenda to socially transform the United States along racial and ethnic minority nationalism lines ( Southern Border illegal aliens, immigrant Muslims, national defence policy weakened, economy botched by taxation to pay for redistribution of wealth programs), with a socialist plan for wealth redistribution, that is to say: Nationalist Socialism.
This makes Obama himself a fascist whose intent is to destroy America, elected to office under a charismatic cloud against freedom, the same way Mussolini and Hitler were.It will take a generation to mend the damage that Obama has done to our nation and to our alliances abroad, if he does not cause WW III in his last years of office.
I believe personally that impeachment is too good for this thug we have in the White House. He should be summarily arrested, charged, tried and incarcerated for identity fraud and treason to our allies, as well as extortion ( Al Sharpton his extortion race jockey),and willfully contravening the Constitution, and then he should be duly executed after his trial as punishment for the millions of needless deaths he has caused in Mexico,Libya,Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen,Nigeria and Kenya, many of whom were Christians falling to the swords of Islam.
Now Obama meddles in the national elections of Israel, a fact that is in itself the basis for impeachment, even if one ignored all of his other travesties, legitimated by a fraudulent presidency.
If the GOP has committed lesser sins, history may forgive them, but history will never forgive the GOP or even Ted Cruz as a new president for failing to go after this fascist president with direct criminal law force of Congress after the 2016 election.
Lest you think my remarks inappropriate I refer you to this essay written in 2008, by a greater historian than I:
Barack Obama: The Quintessential Fascist

Its time to stop playing with Obama and the legacy movement which will confront any GOP president, and attack Obama on all fronts as the wheedling, murdering, fascist dictator he truly is.Put him behind bars forthwith and advance his trial immediately by Congress itself, even after November of 2016..
Ted Cruz is THE MAN for that job.No one else could even begin to get that done.None of them even know the name of the game that is afoot like Ted Cruz does.
Is this a good move, 2ndDV? I’m sincerely asking...I don’t know anything about Rick Tyler.
Well, hes too many Mehhiccccans comin in for me.
In this thread about Sen. Cruz you said:
Toooooooo many Mehhiccccans on his back too.
Just who is pure enough for you?
Sleep it off.
Not sure taking on some of Newt’s past baggage is the way to go.
Do you have a clue what you are talking about?
I believe it’s a good move, as far as I can tell Rick Tyler has been effective but also actually has Conservative principles. Much better that Senator Cruz seek out people Rick Tyler instead of people like henry barbour, haley’s nephew and hatchet man who carried out the dirty work in the cochran campaign, henry has been hired by Governor Rick Perry’s campaign. I believe you can tell a lot about a candidate by the people he surrounds himself with.
“Not sure taking on some of Newts past baggage is the way to go.”
Newt had and has many attributes, his attributes far out weighed his baggage for me in the last election when compared to the candidates we had to chose from. However I would view Rick Tyler as an attribute and asset as opposed to baggage.
