That’s because house painters can’t afford to retire.

Nice place to buy boots, though.

And Fox News doing their internet reporting with no additional information other than the headline. Builds up the number of hits and increase advertising revenue.

Actually off-duty LEOs are never really off-duty.

I quit Fox when Murdoch began promoting amnesty years ago.
I get most of my news from Free Republic.

It really is news because unlike the house painter, a retired cop should know how to behave when confronted by a uniformed LEO.

As I recall, it wasn't until the 1970s that cops got involved with domestic disputes—especially not if the people involved were married to each other. This was for two reasons: It's too hard to figure out what's going on, and it's dangerous for the cop—since both the man and the wife often gang up on the cop.

I don't notice that murder between spouses has ended—and by the way, "domestic violence" always been many times higher among the unmarried—or that marriages are happier. What's the point, other than that we made more employment opportunities for marriage-hating feminazis and social workers (but I repeat myself)?

But really, the important thing is that at the end of the day, the law enforcement officer went home safe—

Oh wait...

Any man who is going through a divorce or whose marriage is approaching that stage, should be very afraid of being accused of domestic violence.

I am against the domestic violence laws as presently written because charges can be brought with zero supporting evidence.

I am very much against domestic violence but I think rather than sending the cops to the house, there should be shelters for women and that once a woman goes to a shelter she has the protection of armed guards, whether cops or rent a cops.

And protective orders that have real teeth.

And if the situation warrants, a right to carry.

In other words, really and effectively isolate them from each other.

Doing so would save lives and prevent either from ruining the other’s reputation and civil rights with false arrest.

It has done a great deal to delegitimize the family as a unit outside of state control, and to assert that the state is omnipotent.

Shame on the person who created such K9 humiliation but the resemblance is astounding.

We seldom hear about a retired house painter committing a crime.

Why don't you do a study on the percentages of retired cops vs retired house painters who have committed a crime?

I look forward to your findings.

Hard to kill someone with the tools of a painter’s trade. You rarely read of fatal brushings
