Americans views of President Barack Obama have improved slightly in the past two months, and opinions are more positive about the direction of the country and the health of the economy, an Associated Press-GfK poll finds.
A slim majority now approves of the way Obama is handling unemployment, according to the poll, conducted before Fridays release of a surprisingly strong jobs report.
Forty-seven percent of those surveyed approve of how Obama is doing his job, compared with 41 percent in December, and 51 percent approve of his handling of unemployment, compared with 44 percent before.
Nearly half say the economy is good now, while 41 percent thought that in December. In December 2013, only one-third called the economy good.
Approval of the way Obama is handling the economy improved slightly, 41 percent to 45 percent, over the past two months.

do you suppoose AP is only calling Obama phones?
Bad economy is created by feds which causes unemployment. Feds offer unemployment candy loans to states to pay for thier unemployed and extensions and the states instead of paying back thier loans to the feds add an additional tax on businesses in that state to pay for thier delinquency or refusal to pay. criminal on top of criminal
Remember, these are clueless very low information voters who voted for the Kenyan twice. This isn’t something to get really excited about.
Apparently haven't read or heard about the Gallup report...
93.674% are now NOT in the labor force.
That number just continues to increase.
Which is the reason, your line is going down. Those people did not get jobs. They simply stopped being counted.
Nope, this is AP BS.
“Nearly half say the economy is good now,............”
Obviously those fools have not been grocery shopping for some time. Food costs today are 40-50% higher due to odumbo’s great economy recovery. What other untruths can these writers offer?
Un-employment figures according to the most recent Gallop poll are much higher than odumbo’s fools are reporting. Gallop reported he was worried about getting home alive after his report).
I’m not buying any of the AP-GfK poll......Like odumbo, it too is one lie after another.
The government unemployment number excludes those who have given up looking which at this point is about 20% of employable adults..
By the same token, if you've been unemployed long enough and you're the wrong voter, you can't afford a phone, so of course your opinion wouldn't be reflected in this poll.
Most Americans are as stupid as a rock. The few that are not are looking for a place to hid.
I was trying to pump some gas the other day while the gas-pump was spewing TV “news” about the wonderful, completely unprecedented economic recovery taking place under our marvelous president. This not 2015, people, it is 1984.
Yes I approve of Obama unemployment policies... if he wants people UNEMPLOYED. I can’t wait until he is UNEMPLOYED!!!
Considering that the ‘Obama’ unemployment numbers are based on fudged data, the Associated Press-GfK poll is also based on that fudged data, rendering the poll irrelevant and inaccurate.
But, hey, false facts and faked data [a.k.a., lies] are what pass for news any more.
Obama is outsourcing his polling?
Read again, this time carefully.
The U6 unemployment rate INCLUDES those who had jobs before, but are not actively looking.
This U6 is a different rate than what you see in news,
which does not include discouraged workers.
