Spacex's next launch, and next landing attempt, is today at about 6:00.
Thanks!
Actually, 6:10. And they will attempt a safe landing of the first stage on a barge 400 miles off the coast of Jacksonville. If successful, it will alter forever the financial terms for missile launches into space.
SpaceX is the NASCAR of space. We’ll either get a landing or a wreck, but either are fun to watch.
Thanks Vince Ferrer, for all three of these:

If the landing works (and he’s quite intelligently getting the paid work done first, doubling up with the landing tests) a $60 million launch vehicle will become (he hopes) a reusable; $200K of fuel and a launch vehicle amortized over a larger (than one) number of launches will shave even more off his already lowest cost per pound to orbit.

6 pm east coast time?
Yes, eastern.
Same pilot? I almost asked “pilots.” Oops.
Well said - I’ll be watching - don’t know how much we will be able to see - don’t know why it is so far out to sea.
No pilots, just a red button.
Spam in a can.
I can think of several, lots of distance from population, away from air & shipping lanes and recreational waters, east of the Gulf Stream and an area that can be easily declared "No-Fly".
They don’t have the fuel to get back up range. The launch is to the east to take advantage of the earth’s spin to reach escape velocity. The booster is expended and detached after the rocket has traveled hundreds of miles downrange. They only have enough fuel left to land.
Any live streaming or TV?
No joy on the Cape.
Telemetry problem, mission abort at 2 minutes 30 sec.
Looks like the launch was scrubbed at two minutes. You can go to techcruch website or spacex for streams.
Next chance to launch, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday around same time (6:07:47 pm). If those dates are missed, then next opportunity is a couple weeks away.
6:07:49 pm Eastern time, but what’s a couple seconds.
range tracking radar went down
