The Nationwide Superbowl commercial managed to piss a lot of people off. It is a good, poignant and creative ad, but the Superbowl might have not been the proper event to have it aired. We can discuss consequences in a bit.
But what was not unexpected (at least for me) was the reaction of the Gun Control cavalcade and specially Shannon Watts:

The “guns kill kids” stats generally include any kid killed during the commission of a crime. That’s how they get the number so high.
You’ll never get an honest stat from a gun control organization. Always a twisted one.

The other big lie liberal gun control nuts put out is the one about the high number of people killed ‘with their own gun’. They imply YOUR gun will be taken from you and used against you. The truth has to do with suicide - not criminals using your gun.
The left is full of lies... easy for them because the liars in the press don’t challenge them....
It matters little the issue, the Left lies always. In Roe vs Wade the lawyer that represent the pro abortion side lied regarding the statistics on abortions in a court of law. What matters to them is winning any and every way possible. This is who they are and they are unashamed - proud actually. This started a long time ago - we should have learned by now.

And a “child” is anyone under 28, or with an IQ under 28, or who has ever voted Democrat. Course there’s a lot of overlap in those categories.
On a related note, everytime someone wants me to eschew my civil rights supposedly “for the cheeeeeelrun [sob]”, my response is that if there are actually any children so marginal that they can only survive in an environment with an all-powerful government and no respect for the rights of the people, what possible value could there be in saving that particular child anyway?
