Former Florida Governor and likely 2016 presidential candidate Jeb Bush reportedly never forgave Mitt Romney for moving to the right on illegal immigration, which was perhaps one of the only issues where Romney was somewhat in line with conservatives.
Romney announced on Friday that he would not make a third run for the White House, and NBCs Chuck Todd said Romney was Jeb Bushs preferred candidate in 2007 before Romney flipped on immigration. Todd added that some of the interest in the race was personal Jeb Bush never forgave Romney for using immigration as a wedge issue against McCain.

He sure didn’t waste any time kissing Mitt’s butt after Romney announced he wouldn’t run.
Won’t matter as Jeb “Amnesty” Bush is DOA as a candidate.
Mitt moved right?...........Not so’s you could tell......
Actually, it is true....Mitt was more conservative than McCain in 2007-08 - and moreover, more conservative than Mitt was in 2011-12. While the rest of the electorate moved right, Mitt moved left.
Now, I don’t believe anything Chuck Todd says - so who knows if the Jeb Mitt thing is true - but they don’t seem to like each other.
I'm sure if Mitt hands Jeb a nice big check, it will be all kisses and hugs...
Story smells like propaganda...
If this is true, why did none of us actually hear about this last go-around?
And why is Bush against America?
(sorry, but that is the question)
We should just go to Kansas City, look up all the plumbers, and have an election between those guys. He would be the best president since George Washington.
He may be their candidate but never our president...The GOP has an ongoing death wish.
The soft, pasty Bush would love all those Mitt voters, regardless of how he felt about Mitt himself.
Last go round the debate on immigration was the low point of all the topics in the GOP debates. They got lost in the weeds of a bunch of hypotheticals about what to do years down the road after the border is secure, and we had Rick Perry on the one hand talking heartless - and on the other calling out Mitt for hiring illegals to mow his lawn - stopped just short of calling them wetbacks.
And then Michelle Bachmann and Rick Santorum, who both live what, 1500 miles from the border, lecturing Rick Perry on the border. It was a friggin mess. They all screwed up.
Secure the border...until that’s done, all this other is just hypothetical bullsh-t.
more to the point, Mitt donors.......and staff.....is who he wants.
The destruction has begun....
They are all the elite Establishment who would rather have a democrat in the Oval Office than a ... shudder ... true and authentic Conservative. And I'm quite sure that Jeb and Mitt (and McQueeg in 2008), while maybe having some personal animosity, still make deals behind the scenes to keep the Conservatives out.
"And ladies and gentlemen she allowed 4 Americans including a US Ambaassador to be killed by Islamo-Nazis so therefore I am giving her the Liberty medal on the one year anniversary of Benghazi just to shove it in the face of the victims families"
"Everyone everyone, applaud for ME! Aren't I so awesome?"
So Romney not supporting people who break the law is a problem for Jeb? Jeb wants to reward law breakers. Jeb broke the law and smoked pot. Jeb's wife tried to skirt the law in hiding all the goodies she bought. Jeb's daughter tried prescription fraud. Why would we want another president who doesn't respect the law? Is Jeb entitled because two in his family have already held the position? I WILL NOT VOTE if Jeb gets the nomination. will. not.
He looks ‘special’- especially when he smiles.
Jeb has more Democratic supporters than conservative
Sadly....true.
If you can still move right you’re not right enough.
