Washington (CNN)White House officials pressured Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel to increase the pace of detainee transfers from the U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay, the outgoing secretary acknowledged to CNN's Barbara Starr in an interview Friday.
"Not everyone at the White House has agreed with me," said Hagel of his methodology for deciding on detainee releases.
Disagreements between Hagel and officials in the President's inner circle have been widely reported during his short tenure as secretary of defense. But in his interview with CNN, Hagel spoke with uncharacteristic candor about friction related to the prisoner release.
"We've had a lot of conversations," Hagel said.
"With the White House?" Starr pushed back.
"Yes," said Hagel. "And Congress. And the press."
But Hagel also said he isn't fazed by the pressure on the issue of detainee transfers. . .

Hagel has become an emasculated male (meaning he is ball less), whereby he was made so by a woman - Jarret. Is not it an oddity that a woman from the Middle East is the one pulling the punches. Just wonder if Jarret is behind all the flak about Bibi coming to speak to the House of representatives because of the negotiations with Iran. Let’s face it the woman has motives for America to surrender to Iran.
Of course Jarrett is behind the flak. She is the boss at the White House.

It is hard to sympathize with you, Chuck, when you jump into a pit of vipers, that, you would think your principles would not have fang marks. You should have seen it coming, everybody else did.
What is disappointing is that someone from DOD did not march over to the White Hut and arrest the pre_sent in charge when this farce started to unfold...While I agree that our military must be civilian led, there are plenty of civilians who could have been in charge of the country without the interloper of Hope getting in the way...None of this is going to end well...
Apparently Chuck Hagel is president, Lord knows Obama’s never officially taken responsibility for anything except a beer summit.
And as we well know, there are no loose canons or mavericks in the Obama administration, not a one.
And now ISIS says they are going to behead Obama in the White House. Valerie will let them in when she is done with her ignorant puppet.
