Yeah...remember Jim Talent, senator from Missouri. The evangelicals in SW Missouri refused to vote for his reelection over a single issue; stem cells.
They elected Claire McCackle.

No. Actually Wisconsin voters (59%) ratified a state amendment banning queer marriages.

If you believe in the will of the people, the sovereignty of States Rights and that queers should not be allowed to marry, then you have to disagree - Strongly Disagree - with Walker as he caved in and abandoned the majority of voters in his state.

>>ut don’t try to put horns and a red suit on them, and even more importantly, don’t attack another poster because they disagree with you about the candidate or the issue. Let’s try to make FR a little more classy than DU - I see way too many personal attacks over policy disagreements than we should have on a conservative site.<<

The Paulbot wars were pretty grim and the “stay at home” non-vote follow-ups from (and lead-ups to) 2008 and 2012 were pretty turbulent.

I am unsure if FR can follow your sage advice.

And can I add, if you have a problem with a candidate's specific policies, argue against those

Seconded.

'Tis easier to move a candidate on one issue, than move a party on all of their issues.

Get ready to get flamed by those who only need a single gripe to override 100 good points - some act as if they really want the Dems to destroy us but think they can fool us by whining about all the RINOs - They remind me of the RINOs themselves who give lip service while selling the People down the river. Of course, while they mock the "blame it on Bush" folks, they also have no problem using GOPe and RINOs as their own scapegoat - "They made me ensure Obama got a second term; They made it impossible for me to oppose Hillary".

They call it a principled game plan and when they shoot down a Walker they show themselves as pusillanimous nose-dripping whiners who claim have a real plan but cannot let the secret out because then everyone would know it...their plan is to vote for anyone that makes Reagan and Cruz look like they are left of Obama...IOW, their plan is to let the Left run unopposed by them.

There, I feel better already.

That is like being the best yodeler in Harlem.

Nothing against Walker but you set a low bar.

Note: I don’t dislike Jeb for his name — I dislike him for his complete set of leftist (eGOP) stances.

Thanks, Trebb. You said it very well. Today on the Five, Greg Gutfeld mentioned the frequent use of the word “RINO”. I agreed with his disappointment when that word is used on 99% of the GOP candidates just because of one or two perceived differences from their own opinions.

Greg said it emboldens Democrats who delight in such behavior as it cuts down the field of credible opponents to their leftist agenda.

Scott Walker is the Reagen of our time. May God protect Mr Walker and his family.

Post of the decade! You are so right. We need President Walker. I wish more believed this. The dissing on this poor guy is sinful. They are scared of him taking away their bennies even on FR. Rather sad.

I understand that passed at that margin. There’s been a massive shift on this issue since it became national news, and lot of places that voted overwhelmingly bought into the ‘love is love’ bs later on. This whole issue swung on a the vote in California, of all places, banning gay marriage.

We’re now seeing the numbers move at a crazy rate. In part, a lot of Obama supporters just went along because their messiah championed it. Wisconsin may have seen such shifting....is it 50%+? I have no clue. I am just watching the shift in general and made this observation.
