Too many links in first few lines to copy, but the most interesting thing is a link to a letter the man who requested the cake, where he says what he actually requested be written on the cake.

“Jack is a founder of and frequent speaker at Worldview Academy summer camps that train students to think and live Christianly.”

“In an email to WORLD, he wrote that he requested two cakes in the shape of an open Bible. He asked that the first cake show on one page, “God hates sin—Psalm 45:7,” and on the facing page, “Homosexuality is a detestable sin—Leviticus 18:22.” He requested that the second cake have on one page, “God loves sinners,” and on the facing page, “While we were yet sinners Christ died for us—Romans 5:8.””

An Interesting attempt to, ostensibly, try to spread the gospel to these people. It’s pretty obvious that he failed.

Given that a civil rights complaint was filed I would say the attempt is to hoist some homosexuals on their own activist petard.

If the gaystapo can have the state financially ruin a man for refusing to promote homosexuality, why then can we not financially ruin homosexuals for refusing to promote Christianity. A huge problem in this country is that leftists of all stripes are perfectly happy to have the machinery of the state ruin lives because it seldom happens to them.

He failed because they wanted him to fail.
