Many of the fish, reptiles, etc. they are scooping up in the nets consume mosquitos as well, therefore they are depleting the resources that actually keep the mosquitos in check.

Reads like a Catch-22. Either eat, or.....

Not to mention the netting is so fine it doesn’t allow
even the smallest fish to escape...goodby food chain.

Maybe they could put a Do NOT REMOVE tag on them that
says “NOT FOR FISHING”. /s
