10 April 2010 Polish Air Force Tu-154 crashed near the city of Smolensk, Russia, killing all 96 people on board. These included President of Poland Lech Kaczyński and his wife Maria, former president Ryszard Kaczorowski, the chief of the Polish General Staff and other senior Polish military officers, the president of the National Bank of Poland, Poland's deputy foreign minister, Polish government officials, 18 members of the Polish parliament, senior members of the Polish clergy, and relatives of victims of the Katyn massacre. They were en route from Warsaw to attend an event marking the 70th anniversary of the massacre; the site is approximately 12 miles (19 kilometers) west of Smolensk.
According to the official reports the pilots approached Smolensk North Airport, a former military airbase, in thick fog that reduced visibility to about 1,600 feet (500 meters). Excessive vertical rate of descent caused that the aircraft was too low as it approached the runway. When the pilots realized severity of situation they tried to perform go-around maneuverer. The aircraft started to climb reaching the estimated rate of climb around 1181 ft/min (6 m/s) however on the height of 19-22 feet (6-7 m) the left wing hit the large birch tree with a trunk 12 to 16 in (30 to 40 cm) wide. That ripped off about 18 feet (5.5 m) of the left wing, including the left aileron. The resulting asymmetrical lift caused an uncommanded roll to the left. Within 5 seconds, the aircraft hit the ground in the inverted position (150-160° of roll) instantly killing all abroad.
However, many findings gathered during 4.5 years of investigation suggest that the aircraft most probably was destroyed by series of explosions during go-around maneuverer. The following evidence supports the case:

The TU-154’s design can be blamed on most crashes of that type. I wouldn’t fly on a Russian aircraft on a bet..

Circumstantial evidence strongly suggests that the aircraft most probably was destroyed by series of explosions during go-around maneuverer on the altitude 100-200 feet (30-60 m) above the ground.

The Russians shot that aircraft out of the sky. There is no possible way of producing that much acceleration and that kind of damage to the aircraft fuselage without a number of high energy explosions from missile impacts and/or cannon fire well before the aircraft reached the ground in tens of thousands of fragments.
Putin refused to receive an official delegation for the ceremonies commemorating the Katyn Forest Massacre perpetrated by the Soviet Russians. So, this assassination of the Polish President and his retinue was the response.

Wreckage field was 1900 feet long and almost 100 yards in width. Slightly smaller plane, and somewhat softer impact - the landing gear had actually contacted the road before the wing hit the solid object.

Bigger, sturdier plane hit the tank on the second bounce, so much slower, but lots of evidence of heat damage.

Southern Airways Flight 242 does not have any evidence of missile/canon shrapnel punching holes through the fuselage, curling the metal skin of the fuselage around the puncture holes, internal explosions with explosives residue present, corpses with ubiquitous evidence of body fragmentation of the type resulting from G-forces of 350Gs. So, your sick minded attempt to serve as one of Putin’s Corps of Internet Trolls comes to another shameful end. You do Russia’s people a terrible and disgraceful disservice with your atrocious misconduct. Sooner or later it will catch up with you as the Russian people ultimately rebel against your criminal lies and dishonesty.
In order to believe that KGB took down that aircraft, one has to believe that not only current Polish authorities (which are made of Obama style jerks but not to the point of murdering their domestic opponents together with KGB) and state institutions but also EU, NATO, US, CIA, NSA and all were involved in covering it up.
Russian funded “media outlets” are full of stuff like “9/11 was an inside job”, they pick up anything, Smolensk crash, 9/11, Charlie thing, Ferguson riots to spread conspiracy nonsense, they support both far-left and far-right to radicalize and divide population in both Europe and America. They finance eco-terrorists in the west and at the same time claim that global warming is a hoax. Their dream scenario is both Europe and America falling into chaos with radical groups going against one another and governments focusing on keeping it under control thus letting Russia does what it wants in post-soviet republics.
Just like Donbas is a Russian aggression (with some local criminal element attached for PR reasons) not an unrest against “Kiev fascist junta”, Smolensk crash was most likely an accident, not some global cover-up operation.
Soros was behind the Ukrainian coup and he has his folks out generating anti-Putin propaganda, digging out whatever they can, and creating what they can’t.

I understand why you would tend to think so. The evidence in this case, however, appears to be much more akin to the Flight MH-17 and Flight KAL-007 disasters. The Russians and Putin have proven themselves to be entirely capable of and willing to deliberately shoot down an unarmed civilian airliner on multiple occasions. The Western nations have also proven themselves entirely capable of not pursuing an investigation of these Soviet Russian crimes in other past incidents. So, the possibility of Putin and Russia deliberately destroying the Polish flight remains quite solidly credible whether or not Putin and Russia actually did so.
Some of the highly persuasive evidence is the way in which the fuselage is punctured by what appears to be shrapnel holes, the very extraordinary and otherwise inexplicable fragmentation of the aircraft and corpses, and the manner in which Russia has obstructed a proper reconstruction of the aircraft as part of a normal investigation.
