Economy in tatters, Venezuela's Maduro tells citizens 'God will provide'

This is exactly what the Communists in Russia did back in the day. They even made schoolchildren do “scientific” experiments with plants to prove/disprove God. One group of plants was watered and cared for, the others were left for “God to provide for.” And when the second group of plants died, the kids were told that it proves that God isn’t real.

Maduro could also lock himself in the closet and pray that God shoves a hotdog through the keyhole so he doesn’t starve to death. God provides for those who do. Socialism is simply about taking.

I believe that the word of God tells us not to bury the talents of our people in the ground by promoting godless communism. Was ever a tyrant so inaptly named?

This is communism with a softer touch (like the revolution we had in 2008); it doesn’t look good to execute clergy openly, so you neutralize them by removing any legal protections they had (see ObamaCare).

God has provided. Venezuela is a beautiful, richly endowed country with natural resources that should make it one of the wealthiest first-world countries on the planet. It has oil, it has water, it has fertile soil, it has everything you could ask for. God didn't screw this up, men and women did.
