A fraternity at Duke University has been suspended while police investigate charges that a woman was sexually assaulted at an off-campus party, the school announced Wednesday.
Alpha Delta Phi has been suspended while Durham, N.C., police investigate what happened at an off-campus house leased by fraternity members.
Duke University is cooperating with the Durham Police Department in the investigation of an alleged sexual assault of a Duke student at an off-campus private residence that is leased to members of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity, the school said in a statement emailed to reporters.
Pursuant to Dukes policy, the fraternity has been placed on interim suspension until further notice. As this case is now being actively investigated by the Durham Police Department, Duke will not have any further comment at this time.

They should just suspend all women, chances are some will lie bout rape /sarc
First, convict the accused
Then, investigate the truth
Last, apologize if shown to be false
Make no retribution, disregard accused-but-innocent lives that are ruined.
It’s becoming a Duke tradition.
I thought collective guilt was something out of the Dark Ages.
So you suspend an entire fraternity because ONE of its members MAY have broken a law?
What happens to the Basketball team when a team member gets involved with at an alleged sexual assault at a private residence off campus? Does the entire basketball team get suspended, or just Coach K?
Aren’t we in the Dark Ages?
“But you can’t hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn’t we blame the whole fraternity system? And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn’t this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Greg - isn’t this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we’re not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!” - Animal House.
Guilty until proven innocent. The new way we handle allegations of crime in this country. Oh wait, that’s just for rape allegations.
Women never lie about rape. /sarc
Mullato Ages.
Let's see who arrives to save the day this time.
Love that scene.
“Sentence first! Trial later.” Alice in Wonderland.

Guilty until proven innocent? Again? Do these people never learn?
So why would a man go to college these days? He is assumed to be a rapist.
This will please the feminazis who run the place.
Should be interesting.
“Authorities on Jan. 13 carried out a search warrant at the home, which is in Durhams Lakewood neighborhood, and seized a condom, photos and video, cups, a comforter and a mattress, according to the TV station.”
Let’s see. Complaint alleges that she was at a party in this house on (Thursday) Jan. 8, woke up the next day with few clothes on.
Keystone Kops get a warrant and go to house to collect evidence, on Tuesday, Jan. 13, the day after the college National Championship game had aired. Amazingly, they found cups (presumably had alcohol of some type in them), a condom, a comforter and a mattress, some photos and a video.
Surely, all of the things they retrieved from the house were from the party 5 days earlier, and not the night before, right?
Maybe they should be placed on the “Commissioner’s Exempt List” ...
Frank Lombard is his name. His partner was unaware of the abuse.
Maybe I should go to Duke for another graduate degree, wait until I get punished for a rape that someone else was alleged to commit (I’m a white male, so that is almost inevitable), and then sue the university.
End result: RETIREMENT.
/only partially sarc
Do these morons ever learn?
BTW, rape is abhorrent. I still disagree with the SCOTUS case that ruled the death penalty for rape was a violation of the 8th Amendment.
But I am a conservative white male, so I am sure libscum instinctively disagree with me. They do agree with wrecking any (esp. white or partially white) male’s life they can, though, in any way the can. That is obvious.
