YAY 2 day old article. Anyway a decision was suppose to be made today a 9am whether they go back home or stay in DHS custody. I am trying to find that info now. maybe someone will post a newer article

Well, there's a problem right there.
When they showed up at her door, she should have said, "Excuse me while I call my attorney" and IMMEDIATELY called her HSLDA rep while they waited outside int he cold.
If it was me, I would be racking my brain figuring out who knew that I had this substance in my house and dropped a dime on me. Then I would probably prison bound, but they would be in hell.
Right! In fact, I would not even speak to them.
She showed a Christian face to unbelievers.
It got smacked.
So now what. Well, we know what the bible says. But only those who have walked with the Lord will understand why the bible says it.
If she and the children stay faithful they will be blessed in spite of this trial. God promised it already.

We bought a lifetime HSLDA membership earlier this year because I didn’t ever want budget be the reason not to renew. I carry their card in my wallet and I ought to put them in my phone. Nobody’s getting into my home without talking to my lawyer.

When the children are returned, and the law is set straight, I’d find out who made the claim, then I’d make sure that person could find a pot or a window to throw it out of. What a sneak piece of Llama pellet.
I have had several personal run-ins with these cretins to whom too many of us have entrusted the minds of our youth. Here are two more.

Back in the 80s, one of my boys brought home a school social studies book that was filled with clearly socialist/progressive nonsense.
I made it a point to show up at the next school board meeting.
After the board members took an hour to tell us what a wonderful job the schools were doing “educating” our children, the floor was opened to Q&A from the parents.
I was the second or third to be recognized. I spent a few moments ragging our local member for talking down to one of the previous questioners who had a very legitimate concern about the cost and the safety of all the busing then going on. I apparently got through to her – a classic elitist Radcliffe graduate – as she kept her mouth shut for most of the rest of the meeting.
I then asked any of the 4 board member to explain why it was that the book my son had shown me looked like it had been written in the Soviet Union?
When I finished the question over half the parents applauded and made positive comments.
One of the board members took an incredibly ignorant stab at answering the question. When I said as much, the Superintendent of Schools – a pretty decent and, it turned out, conservative older fellow – stepped up and remarked that he, too, had an ongoing concern in the area of textbooks and went on to offer that the problem was (and still is) that “…most of them are written by folks who teach at liberal Eastern universities.” He continued by saying that while many of those decisions were made at the state level, he asked any parents who knew of alternative publishers to get in touch with him.
When the meeting broke up, over two dozen parents surrounded me and asked if I could steer them to organizations where they could learn more about how to cure the problems they were also having with the government schools.
I was more than happy to do so.

My point in the video (link below) is to simply highlight the deterioration in the system since I went through it. The ONLY way to turn this around is to do the very thing upon which Ronald Reagan campaigned: ABOLISH THE “PROGRESSIVE” INFESTED DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION and eliminate its forced homogenization – and socialization — of curricula throughout the nation.
There is no way to get this nation back with the government schools cranking out thousands of new little progressives each year. That process made a Barack Obama INEVITABLE. Unless we make substantive changes, WORSE outcomes await our grandchildren.
The schools in America must be returned to the parents and the local communities who have always come together to instruct and nurture their youth without help from an all-powerful, “all-knowing” national government.
Comes now the spectacle of this effort by the educrats in NC to expunge American history before 1870 or so. While their stated goal is to streamline the subject, it’s more likely that they wish to keep their charges from understanding that this nation was born in armed revolution and we fought a nasty war between 1861 and 1865, ostensibly over slavery, but which actually had its roots in the abuse and hypocritical commercial exploitation by one area (the North, where much of the financing of slavery was based) of another (the South).

I picked up my grandson at his high school several times before the 2008 election. Nearly EVERY car in the teachers’ parking lot sported an OBAMA bumper sticker! Some were PLASTERED with them.
On one occasion AFTER the election, I had to pick him up in the Principal’s office. As I waited for him, the Principal came out of her office and asked who I was. (At all of 4-5” tall, she looked just like Robert Reich’s sister and the liberal/socialist she was. Actually, she looked like a bleeping troll!) I told her who I was and commented on the student created anti-drug posters decorating the walls in the hallway.
Yes, she said, drugs are a problem in the schools today. I agreed and, recognizing the truck-size opening she’d just afforded me and unable to hold back, I remarked that the American voters had sent a wonderful message to our kids by installing in the White House a guy who still smokes pot and used cocaine in college? To my delight, the nearby ARMED security guy piped in with “Yeah, he admitted it on the campaign trail.”
She paused then blurted “What do you want me to say to that?” I said there was nothing she COULD say but that I was blown away by the hypocrisy of those posters inasmuch as it appears that, if one uses the bumper stickers on the cars in the teachers’ lot as a gauge, EVERY ADULT IN THAT BUILDING VOTED FOR AN ADMITTED DRUG USER TO LEAD THE NATION.
We turned and walked out. My grandson glanced back and remarked quietly that she did not look happy.
We both smiled.
But I stopped smiling long ago when it struck me that unless this country does SOMETHING to halt this process, these places will continue to crank out sufficient newly minted mini-Marxists to cause us to some day — soon — look back on the corruption and destruction of obozo as the good old days!
Hello? Anybody out there? Anybody listening??
I’ll bet these folks weren’t members of HSLDA.
ALL homeschoolere SHOULD be members of the only legal agency strictly on their side.
Is there an update on this story? Are the children still in state custody?
