In his State of the Union address, President Obama will propose much he knows the Republican-controlled Congress will not enact, but his real agenda is to set the table for Hillary Clintons 2016 presidential campaign.
Once again, the president will propose soaking the rich with higher estate, capital gains and bank taxes, while adding to entitlements for the working poor and middle classnew tax credits, higher child care allowance and more college tuition assistance.
It all sounds appealing in an economy where the top 10 percent have done quite well, while the rest strugglebut it is not that simple.
The president will argue the economyand especially the richcan afford the taxes he wants because economic growth is so strongbut thats a fib.

Hey Repubs, it’s a TRAP!
He can do this one of two ways: first, retroactively change the rules which may collect some taxes from those who have been fooled by past government promises. Second, he could grandfather in current deposits and only tax new deposits. Then he could make some farcical estimates of how much that would bring in so he can spend it immediately. The problem is that no one with any sense would put any new money into a 529 plan so actual tax collections would be pretty close to $0. So much for static analysis.
Who is going to listen to the blowhard-in-chief tonight? Not I, but I can make several predictions about what he’ll say -
- one, how strong the economy is and how low unemployment is
- two, how he has ended wars in Iraq and Afghanistan
- three, taxes need to be raised (in order to better facilitate wealth redistribution), and how the infrastructure and education need to be improved
It will be a performance worthy of Mussolini. Ugh!
“Who is going to listen to the blowhard-in-chief tonight? Not I,”.....
Nor I. One does not have to listen to that little puke to know what state this “union” is in, we are living it every day. Find some reality show to watch, it would probably be much more interesting.
Right off the bat, the author is wrong. He's trying to screw Hillary and help Elizabeth Warren by proposing far-far-far left ideological pie in the sky ideas, that he knows with which Hillary can't compete.
Okay, lets have a pool. How many times will he say:
1. "Let me be clear"
2. "as I have said before" (or many times)
3. "Investments"
4. "fair" or "fairness"
5. "Its the right thing to do
6. And last but not least "I", "my" or "me"
That’s why we need to counter with conservative populism. It knocks out these dumb proposals that the lieberal media will propound on for years.
