From the article:

“If he wins Iowa, then beats a constellation of tough opponents in South Carolina, he’ll take his chances in Florida and then hope to clean up in the southern primaries in early March. By that point, if he’s a serious threat to win the nomination, the donor class will have lined up behind Bush or Romney or whoever to stop him. And as one conservative activist told MSNBC recently, “We can stamp our feet and cry and beg, but the establishment gets who it wants.” But that’s okay: It may be that Cruz, expecting fierce establishment resistance, is running more for vice president. If he’s got 40 percent of the party behind him, Bush or Romney may have no choice but to put him on the ticket to make tea partiers happy. And then Cruz will be perfectly positioned as heir apparent down the road.”

I support him because I support his thinking.

Even if I were a conservative who didn’t feel comfortable about Cruz for whatever reason, I’d support him to shake the establishment.

Sorree. I'm not voting for a Bush/Cruz or a Romney/Cruz ticket. As far as I'm concerned, it's Cruz or the highway.

If Cruz has got 40% of the party behind him and loses the nomination, than the GOP can think about what happens when WE ALL STAY HOME.

'Cause I sure as hell will.

True support for Ted Cruz will be measured in dollars and activity.

He won’t win the big donors who are almost entirely committed to the establishment and status quo.

We need a caucus that will endorse or not endorse the republican candidate based on his/her principles. Period. No deals, no trades, no big bucks changing hands.

We walk or support Cruz anyway if their candidate is not acceptable.

We could outraise even Jebbie if we were serious about it.

Cruz needs to raise a LOT of money and needs to start generating buzz and excitement as the next big thing. Thats the only way he has even a chance and he needs to get going now before the big RINOs suck up all the money.

If he had a million donors all willing to give a 100 bucks at various points in the campaign, he’d be hard to beat

Are there a million Christian conservatives who think the nation needs a drastic change in direction?

Reagan gained money through a bazillion small donations who also turned out to vote in droves. All the big money Rinos hated him.
