A Nevada group backed by Everytown for Gun Safety announced Friday that it has added several key players – including billionaire casino mogul Elaine Wynn – to help pass a gun control initiative in the state.

Wynn, co-founder of Wynn Reports, will chair the Nevadans for Background Checks advisory board to help pass an expanded background check initiative that qualified for the 2016 ballot last month, the group said.

Lets see. What could the tycoon have to say. Oh yeah. Close the gun show loop-hole, keep criminals from getting guns and of course stop domestic violence. Yup. Right off the same old song check list and most likely based on the "PREVENTING GUN VIOLENCE THROUGH EFFECTIVE MESSAGING" guide book.

In other words an eliteist that uses armed bodyguards will be writing the rules for who gets a gun or not...

It’s worse than that, most likely. When I worked in Nevada, there was no shortage of cougar in the mountains there. Once again, rules for the Vegas strip will be imposed on people in the hinterlands, where other potentially lethal threats are equipped by nature with weapons that a gun at least gives one a fighting chance against.

Tycoons, politicians and celebrities don’t want anyone to have guns except their own paid security and the government.

How about we try out background checks for voters?

See how that works out.

Plenty of IPOS in the Vegas/Reno areas. Lucky for me I’m one of the non-IPOS in the Reno area. But yeah, it’s gonna get real ugly. The state legislature is NOT going to approve it so it will go to the ballot in ‘16. Lots of outta state money will be flowing in.

Background checks? Okay, fine, let's begin with President of the United States.

How about complete and total collegiate transcripts (including all original names), and all written theses?

(Grades are not important, only whether passed and credit awarded).

Background checks begin with POTUS.

One means of “effective messaging” would be to not patronize any Wynn property. Anywhere

Did you happen to notice the very last sentence in the piece?

“The gun safety group said it also has its sights on Arizona and Maine.”

Any state that has an initiative/referendum process in place WILL be on the “to do” list. Sadly, the IPOS buy this same old tired line of BS everytime.

The pity of it is that it works on those Gruberized voters.

I swear to God, it is like arguing with those pull-string "Mama" dolls the little girls used to play with - no matter what valid/sane argument you used, it was always the same reply.

I have absolutely no faith in the non-gun-owning voters' intelligence to see through Bloomberg's lies. It makes their brain hurt.

Unless we enact a pre-emptive background check law/initiative without the 4473 link, we are screwed.
