After a market assessment it was clear a used bookstore wouldn’t have any appeal.
I suppose if buyers can overcome the ick factor of wearing someone else’s shoes it will take off.

My last pair were generic no names from Costco and cost $20. He may make a fortune but not from me.

Yes, either that or the worst-hit local store during the next riot.

Well, a guy in Chicago once threatened to take my sneakers from me, and they were pretty well worn. I just kept moving and he decided not to act on his threat. They were also the best pair of sneakers I ever had, a $35 pair of Walt "Clyde" Frazier Pumas in black with a red stripe, great for wide feet. This was during the Michael Jordan era in Chicago, and by coincidence, I matched Bulls colors.

If the used sneakers sold for $30,000, what did they cost new?

So glad I stopped caring about brand names a couple decades ago. I’d rather have fun with my money than wear it.

Lysol is a standard at bowling alleys and washing machines have been used to clean sneakers...

It is possible he paid a lot less and they have appreciated in value over the years. I tend to think the “collectible” sneaker market will eventually crash like beanie babies and other such silliness.

I predict this guy will make a fortune.certainly you should be able to pick your sneakers back up with an EBT.....
