They probably don’t even need to drill a hole in the ground - just blow up some valves.

OH CRAP! I live in Decatur, and never heard of this. Does it have to do with ADM? Guess I better find out what is going on!!

You should also check to see if they have any plans to divert some of the CO
2 into the local water supply and charge you for the equivalent of Perrier.
Anything to increase taxes you know.

Extensive monitoringYeah, that works so well with terrorist lists and Ebola.

That was one of my first thoughts too.
Not to mention that if we could capture all the Co2 then plant life would all die.

That would put the fizz in a lot of sodas and beer.It might make well water nice and fizzy.

Why you gotta bring the pyramids in this? For investment:time they’re still around, I think they were a pretty good model of building something that will last.

That would be one hell of a pipeline; from Decatur, Illinois to a jungle

I was talking in general terms, not necessarily *that* stash.
Curious, what was the energy cost of capturing and pumping down all that CO2? How much extra CO2 did that effort generate?

Its not just people and animals which would be affected car engines would also stall, as the blanket of CO2 choked off the supply of oxygen. WTF? Who gives a shi'ite? People and animals are dead or dying
What an odd addition to an article... reporter must have been getting paid per word.

I have about 2 lbs of pressurized SO2 that I need to get rid of. Don't know if I could make it to Decatur...

What sized earthquake would it take to cause a catastrophic release of CO2? With Magic Thinking so ingrained now in American minds at all levels of society, are we convinced that the 'scientists' behind this endeavor have actually considered that their process is flawed if the planet decides to burp? I don't trust these bastards for a second, given their track record on globull warming and hockey sticks ...

Actually, the priestly class had the Pyramids built to be power generators, but that little secret is still held in confidence so the ruling elites don’t allow we peons to get any ideas.

As will be clear if you keep reading, I’m no chemist. Is there a reasonably inexpensive way to liberate the O2 from this and store the carbon? I personally don’t think there’s any need to sequester a vital plant food like CO2 but if someone wants to lock up carbon, I suspect the real danger is the gas pressure.

A bunch of cronies mounting a business model to take advantage of politically biased science. Next phase of “development” will be the lobbying for the laws to demand the required use of their new business.
