Right after the massacre, they said their next issue would be ONE MILLION - WITH cartoons.
I heard today they are upping it to SIX MILLION - and have had thousands of new subscribers.
Everyone should get the edition, and tear pages out and plaster them EVERY where around the world - on lamp posts, in subways, in markets, on walls -

They would go apoplectic. Wouldn’t know which way to turn. They don’t know what to do when actually confronted...cowards, actually.
I disagree with you — I don’t think that was ever the message - at least not in America. We didn’t ban books because we thought people were going to riot and loot stores and murder other people. We banned books because we thought people would be corrupted by them. When we stopped thinking that we were in charge of other people’s decisions about what to believe, we stopped banning books.

NYT is the rag that published the gratuitous and offensive Abu Grahab photos over and over.

That used to be practically a religion for them, to whine about banned books.
But the simple truth is, the banned books they championed were invariably left leaning or otherwise against traditional values.

I think the cartoon is rather complex. It actually targets those who think holding up “Je suis Charlie” cards and boo-hooing will somehow make everything okay. No. The cartoonists are still dead.
To be honest, I have no idea what the cartoon is saying. Which is why, I guess, I’ll stick to Mad Magazine, lol.
