It’s not commonly known because it is rarely covered in the media, but each year, there are literally thousands of suggestions made to the various agencies of the massive federal bureaucracy – the Administrative Branch, if you will – to improve efficiency, cut down on waste, fraud and abuse, and generally become better stewards of the taxpayer’s money while bolstering faith in government. If President Obama and the new Republican majority really wanted to “work together” to “get things done,” they could start by requiring the various Executive Branch bureaucracies to act on them.
