Let's be realistic, as long as Obama is President and Congress and Senate does not have the necessary 2/3 votes to overcome a sure veto ( and they don't ), Obamacare WILL NOT be repealed.

It MUST be repealed.

However, things will not just snap back to the “way they were”. The whole healthcare system was impacted by this colossal Failure.

What “alternative?” Another statist algorithm of government benefits and punishments designed to channel human behavior?

How about simple freedom and markets? The US health-care industry developed nicely when doctors, drug makers, device manufacturers could sell to whoever needed product, churches and religious groups were free to offer their services without control, and people could buy from or associate with whom ever they wanted.

The Progressives in both parties don’t want that though.

Repealing Obamacare is not enough: Republicans must unite around a good alternative.

Yeah Republicans, you can not stand on your principle of getting government out of stuff that would be mean.

And I knew it never would be. Let’s face it; there were only two opportunities to kill 0bamacare after it passed:

1) National Association of Manufacturer’s vs. Sebelius, and;

2) Electing Romney President. Yes, I know. He was a liberal squish. But had two houses of Congress passed a repeal, he would not have vetoed it. And if Dingy Harry had been isolated, enough democrat Senators could have been peeled off in the interests of self-preservation.

But now the damn thing is entrenched, like Social Security, and it’s not getting repealed. From now on, we political debate is nothing more than nibbling around the margins of socialism.

The “alternative” should be to allow insurance to cross state lines and otherwise get the Feds out the heath care industry.

It’s like these people have never heard of the free market and competition, that is a win-win for everyone.

So what would be the objective of this GOP health scheme, 100% insurance coverage or 100% access to healthcare?

Of course repeal of TOTALITARIANCARE isn’t enough. Proponents/deceivers should be in prison.

Repeal and replace with freedom and liberty. The solution to most problems related to government is simply less government, fewer laws, less regulation and less taxation.

But repeal is not enough …
Aw, how cute; another implied “repeal and replace”, i.e. with some other kind of compulsory government “healthcare”/“insurance”. Statists never learn until they’re on the receiving end.

“Repeal and replace” = “We can do socialism better than Obama.”

Get government out of the way. There no constitutional authority for such socialist meddling in the first place.

” The GOP now has full control of Congress,”

From everything I have seen since the election, OBAMA has full control of congress.

If Republicans put forward any sort of alternative THAT IS NOT “repeal and replace”, it will be harangued and dissed a hundred ways to Thursday. The “repeal” MUST come first. The current law is so freaking bastardized and each and every remnant of it must be wiped out. The billions and billions of dollars that were spent on ACA could have given every poor person better medical care than they will get under ACA for free, just as a grant. At this point, the ACA is so tied up into the IRS and is a generator of such bloated bureaucracy in the state exchanges that little or no good can come of it except at the expense of others who *can* pay their way.

There can be no rewarding in the form of continuance the multiple lies that were told to pass this cursed bill.
