A Kansas doctor scrutinized for referring young patients for late-term abortions remains barred from practicing medicine after a state board declared Friday that her inadequate record-keeping justified the revocation of her license.
The State Board of Healing Arts stripped Dr. Ann Kristin Neuhaus of her license to provide charity care in 2012, finding she had performed substandard mental health exams in 2003 for 11 patients ages 10 to 18 before referring them to the late Dr. George Tiller's clinic in Wichita.
Neuhaus, from the small town of Nortonville about 30 miles north of Lawrence, wants her full medical license back and challenged the findings earlier this year. A Shawnee County District Court judge agreed Neuhaus had kept inadequate records but nonetheless ordered the board to reconsider its decision.
Board members concluded Friday that the record-keeping issues were serious enough that Neuhaus shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine.

Thank you Lurker. This chick was “aiding and abetting” by way of performing substandard mental health exams on the girls and that is why Kansas does not want to give her license back.

In a perfect world she would be. I have a feeling though it was greed that motivated her. She was working for Tiller and raking in the bucks. Her goal was to push the girls though to the abortion. These clinics really don’t care if who brings them in for in abortion as long as it’s paid for. Any adult can sign for the child and as long as that adult says he/she is the parent then that if fine with the clinic.
Which is why I think we should pass a law that says clinic must report it if a girl 17 and under has an abortion to CPS. They should investigate and find out who got her pregnant. Would it create more workload for them? Yes. But a girl who keeps coming in and keeps coming in for an abortion should raise eyebrows enough for someone to find out why.
I’m sure she’s already bought her ticket to the Chili for Choice fundraiser at St. James.
