The Indonesian navy has retrieved from the seabed the tail of the AirAsia plane that crashed two weeks ago.
Divers used an inflatable device to pull the tail to the sea's surface.
They are also searching for the plane's "black box" flight recorders, which officials believe have been separated from the tail section.
Forty-eight bodies have been retrieved so far.

Might be the inflatable object used to lift it, or the Great Pumpkin.

Interesting...did the pilot exceed rudder limits and tear it apart?

Just speculating but as I understand if too much rudder is applied it can tear off the vert stab.

Any aircraft design that causes damage to the airframe due to pilot control input is flawed.
They used the pilot induced over control excuse in the Airbus Rockaway Beach crash where the vert stab was found a considerable distance from the rash site. It was the first object found, same in the Air France crash.
I. Submit that I would believe a faulty Airbus design before I would sign on to a pilot induced damage scenario
Airbus has some explaining to do...

It’s not politically correct to say Airbus might have design flaws.
