President Obama said Tuesday he would veto any bill that tries to start construction on the Keystone XL pipeline before a federal review is finished — a process in its seventh year.
You can argue whether Obama is being sincere in his desire to follow procedure, or just trying to run out the clock so he doesn't have to make a decision, but by any measure, six-plus years is a long time.
Jason Russell tries to put this in perspective at the Washington Examiner by calculating what other things someone could do while Obama's reviews held up the pipeline. Among them: Walk 160,000 miles, read the Bible 1,200 times, play 17,520 games of Monopoly, listen to Taylor Swift's "1989" 64,752 times.
This is amusing, but there's another way to measure how ridiculously long the Keystone delay has been. That's by putting it in the context of other major U.S. construction projects, some of which Obama himself loves to highlight as grand achievements.

The GOPe panty waists in Congress need to hit him every week with legislation he can veto all the while taking to the microphone and explaining the ramifications of his actions.
Shift the narrative onto him obstructing everything for a change.

I doubt we’ll get a majority of R’s to override the veto. Boehner is 0’s boy. He won’t let the R’s make 0 look bad.
Dithering is an easy alternative to confrontation. If he really does want something, he has that pen and phone.

We can all rest assured, odumbo has not be “dithering” about blocking the Keystone pipeline, he has been working very hard to stay away from approving that project. Follow the money trail back to the railroads and you will see why he has stonewalled that project for this long.
Obama isn’t dithering - he’s trying to to keep both the environmentalists and unions happy. So far, the enviros have had the upper hand.
Yet Big Media allows Democrats to claim that the Environmental impact reviews are not finished, etc. Big Media is the enemy of the USA as it was founded. And too many LIVs believe everything Big Media tells them.

This is the point that needs to made at every opportunity. The LSM is an active partisan participant in the political process. They were granted constitutional protection for the purpose of being an objective independent watch dog. But due to commie liberal infiltration of journalism schools, students are being programmed to become dis-information agents of the left.
It is easy to see their influence and sway over republican Congress people who are timid and frightened that any strong push back by repubs will result in accusations of “Racists” or “Government Shutdown.”
The MSM is very willing and capable of shaping and reshaping any event. The MSM is willing and capable of twisting statements and/or positions of conservatives.
Ferguson is only the latest example. We all saw what happened. Thug messes with police, gets killed. But if you only paid attention to the MSM you are being conditioned to think there is an all out police war on black people.
Someone has to stand up and confront the media in very strong harsh unapologetic terms. They will likely be martyr in the process, but this is a battle that must be engaged in order to create some effective push back.
Absolutely correct. JFK made a speech and promise using a program already in place and running by the time he took office. Who started that program? Why, it was Ike and his VP Richard Nixon was in charge of setting it up. I remember the inauguration of the program; big news after sputnik and I remember the presentation of the first 7 astronauts. Karma took an interesting turn when they landed that evening in 1969; Richard Nixon, the first person in charge of the program was president after being literally cheated out of the office by JFK and LBJ in 1960.

I also note another thread that indicates 75% of American casualties in Afghanistan came after Obama seized power.
He changed the rules of engagement and American lives were lost.
