Local media is (or was yesterday) still saying it was a forced entry break in and police have no leads. Doesn’t pass the smell test for me. I think the victims know the shooter.
If the perp is smart, he’s already in mexico. If he’s dumb, he works at the pizza parlor behind which they found the body in a dumpster. Baby was sealed in a garbage bag. Wouldn’t surprise me if the bag contains the perp’s or the pizza places garbage. Homeless guy going through the garbage found the body.

Lots of motives....But in this case, it’s a bill/debt owed, love/jealous murder motive and or a gang/drug thing IMO.
But who knows...
They probably come from one of the more remote and poorer regions of Mexico. They may not even speak Spanish very well, which is a serious handicap if you’re Mexican.
This was a result of the radical leftist “indigenous peoples” stuff, which essentially said that Mexican schools shouldn’t educate speakers of these (tiny, useless) Indian languages in Spanish. The result is that these people leave Mexico to make a living but their options are very limited because their Spanish is so poor. Those who don’t get involved in the gangs usually work to learn English when they get here, but it’s very hard for them not to be involved with gangs. Like everybody else, Mexicans are very “home town” rooted, so they’ll go hang out with people from the old neighborhood, and this is not a good thing.
The left - as usual, virtually all upper middle class university professors or students - strikes again.
