The problem is, to get shed of Boner will require undercutting his close support, even with an R by their name. Boenher did not get to the level he is by being as stupid as we wrongly assume. He knows how to fight and apparently knows how to influence his staunch detractors into help defend him.

Even Boehner deserves to be protected against leftist lies. If the left gets away with this, they are not going to stop with him.
I support Scalise for other reasons, but I haven’t seen any indication that Mia Love will do anything except vote mostly with leadership.

Back in 2015, nobody had an inkling that Scalise was going to be shot by the left too.
