I thought (based on the opposition to it) that No Child Left Behind was a good thing; as I understand it, children can escape failing schools and districts. Much of the cheating scandals in the public school system were driven by the fact that NCLB actually wanted accountability for the money squandered on the teachers’ unions.

No Child Left Behind deserves repeal- anything that Teddy Kennedy thought was a good idea generally does. Then they can go ahead and disband the Federal Department of Education, dismiss everyone that works there, and then bulldoze the LBJ office building it is housed in.
And note how American educational standards have actually declined, as the reformers have been layering bureaucracy over the school systems. Every increase in the Federal Bureaucracy also triggers interactive increases in State & local bureaucracies, squandering money, and making it ever more difficult for good teachers to properly interact with the actual needs of their particular students.

Jeb Bush is bringing Common Core, AKA Part Two of the Fed takeover of education.
Jeb Bush epitomizes all the idiocy that one associates with the contemporary Academic/Media complex, that has been corrupting American education & social dialogue for decades. While he may be an intelligent chap, so far as unrealized potential, his slavish acceptance of ideas that are intellectually absurd, clearly disqualifies him for serious consideration as a Presidential candidate.
Exactly—It is how the Leftists are winning the culture war as Whitaker Chambers noted: Man v. God and Man is winning. (That was in the 50s).
The “Perceptions” of the masses is controlled by Language, Words and images-—and the psychologists, since Edward Bernays in 1910, were paid millions by corporations to control the “desires” of the masses (make addicts) and make women smoke (and love it). He did and psychology was embedded into EVERYTHING-—esp. marketing.
Bernays was successful in creating a market for cigarettes-—women, who originally knew and thought it was creepy, vulgar, filthy, etc. to “smoke”. It was marketing of ideas-—24/7-—they did it with photos in newspapers, with articles carefully constructed to affect emotions.
These psychologists embedded themselves into curricula in the 1930s-—hard core Marxists began writing text books then and the repetition of Lies is standard in texts and in the “culture” today. Lies will become the truth in the minds of children-—and they are fed lies and twisted truth since God was removed from the schools (to flip Traditions, erase them and create the “new” utopia-—an artificial world where Right is Wrong and Vice is Virtue-—to destroy the Worldview of Christianity and Natural Law—the basis of our “Justice System and Rule of Law.
All the Ancients knew that when you destroy Virtue (and Justice which is the queen of Virtue), you collapse civil society. Gramsci organized psychology and methodology to destroy Virtue (and eliminate Christianity) from culture which was brought into USA by the 1930s and implemented by John Dewey—and funded by the Rockefellers and the Carnegies, etc, for their controlled One World Order dream. They need to develop “Happy slaves”—as Fichte stated in 1810-—people who believe Snow is Black (anything the State tells them). Public Schools are training ground for this dependence and Faith in the State (masters).
In the 40s, some Congressmen protested about Maraxist textbooks-—and were somewhat successful, but vilified-—much like McCarthy for pointing out the Truth. The Press created ALL perceptions of the masses-—whether to get into the war—or keep out. They controlled all the major news organizations and took over all the major churches (the Rockefeller/Carnegie Foundations used millions to fund churches and put in their operatives to “teach” the correct ideas (Marxist/Satanism).
We are “herd animals” and as such there is an aversion to making others feel “uncomfortable” and that great desire to be one the group. We are naturally programmed to want to avoid conflict or people disliking us.
All our “ideas” (agendas) are being marketed to emotions always..... since the Archie Bunker series to tie evil and bigot and hater to Christianity. It is to control perceptions and train children and adults to “feel” and not use Reason and Logic which is the foundation of Western Civilization and Christianity—Laws of Nature and nature’s God gave us Design and Cause and Effect and Duty for actions based on Natural Law Theory which is in line with the Bible. (Faith and Reason can never be separated). Faith in Chrstianity only is based on Reason and Logic. It is the only Rational religion other than Deism—and that is why they have to destroy it (Christianity and the belief in the Christian God).
How they are doing it (the Leftists) is through public schools and TV—normalizing evil and vile behaviors in children—normalizing Satanism, Ba’al and Earth Worship (materialism, no sexual morality). They put laws in to effect to destroy marriage and group people (no-fault and multiculturalism) to create “hate” —just emotional responses caused by natural herd mentality.
Embedding “No order, no Design in nature”, will destroy Logic and Reason of Western Civilization in children and the ability to understand Truth/God and the Laws of Nature like our Founders and the greatest minds in history. That is why Classical Education was taken out of public schools-—to destroy all Wisdom of the Ages and Traditions (so Marxists can rewrite history and create their own utopia).
In 1800s Fichte and the Marxists knew to destroy Free Will in children it was essential to control ALL their ideas and perceptions through the “education” process-—that is why the Socialist John Dewey made schools mandatory and for younger children (with plastic minds)—to get them away from their Natural parents who should shape their Worldview.
Children were forced from the Natural Family (which is the most efficient, superior way to develop Individualism (anti-group think) and understand Truth/Nature, rather than an artificial environment—in front of screens/institutional “learning” is all operant conditioning and dehumanization. Children need human contact and interaction—and practice to control emotions and learn about human nature-—and they have to interact with humans and model themselves after mature (loving) adults-—not immature peers and evil, uncaring people. They have to be filled with the greatest minds and ideology-—not sucked into the sewer by evil ideology or behaviors which destroy or degrade other human beings.
Now, all the ideas in public schools are controlled by evil, sadistic, godless elites who want children ignorant of the Worldview which created the Age of Reason and Enlightenment and the US Constitution.
To destroy Individualism (Christianity) and create “Group Thinkers” ONLY-—(emotional people incapable of using Reason and Logic (Classical Education)-—they have to imprison children in institutions (or addict them to screens which feed ideas into their minds) to combine emotions to the proper concepts (Capitalism is evil, Christianity is irrational and evil, etc).
With Christians came the most perfect and Reasoned cultures in the history of man-—and to create Slaves for the State, you need to destroy Free Will (choice) in children-—and program them to be happy with Slavery—being controlled in all areas, like in Plato’s Republic.
NCLB is programming, as is Common Core, into a Maraxist (godless world) to eliminate Wisdom of the Ages (Bible) and the Reason and Logic of Modernism which created the US Constitution and concept of Individual Natural Rights from God. Can’t have people with minds like that in a collective where the elites want to decide everything —even who lives and dies-—in their hellhole.
Only Classical Education (like in the McGuffey Readers) gives children the tools in which to think for themselves. Common Core gives them What and How to think (Marxist worldview)-—and destroys their ability to use Reason and Logic. All foundational ideas children get are lies and triggers irrational emotions (math curricula makes them think they are dumb because it is irrational)-—so when they are adults they will “feel” and not be able to “think”. They will remain immature and puerile and incapable of Reason—just be useful idiots of the State.
He will never get my vote, even if the Dems run Obama again.
Just like he bequeathed “Homeland Security”, “the Patriot Act”, “TSA” and other danumerous “toys” to a malevolent successor, so too, the Bushes left this too.
And now ANOTHER from this family of fools looms over America’s wreckage!!
