The House has never tried to elect a non member as Speaker, so there has never been a court ruling. But I am certain the courts would rule against the fruit loop idiotic idea that someone who is not a member of the House could be it’s Speaker. BTW, BOEHNER HAS ALREADY BEEN SELECTED AS THE GOP NOMINEE FOR SPEAKER, NO ONE OPPOSED HIM. No one. His only challenger for the job is Pelosi. And finally I question the idea that replacing a leader that is supported by the majority with another leader that is supported by the majority would change much of anything. The leadership reflects the membership.

Want a more conservative House? Nominate more conservative Republicans and elect more Republicans over democrats.
