If this low, low oil price continues past the end of next summer, I suspect even North Dakota will start getting just a little bit hot under the collar. There may still be a need to produce oil soley for national reserves.

And when Michele Bachmann said we could see $2.00/gal gasoline back in 2011, people were incredulous and scoffed.

Well, here it is and headed lower. What has changed since then?

Not in California. Starting January 1, 2015, California will be adding a carbon tax to each gallon of gasoline. Minimum tax will be $0.15. No one know exactly how high this tax will go.

Filled up last night for buck-eighty-eight a gallon at the BP in Lexington, Mo. By the time you guys hit $1.75 we may well be under $1.50.
