South Korean filmmakers have long believed that when it comes to depicting North Korea, it's best to use the utmost caution. Even with South Korea's robust film industry, there have been no notable cases of the North's leadership being depicted in a film. The bloody scene in Sony Pictures Entertainment's movie "The Interview," in which it appears that the head of an actor playing North Korean leader Kim Jong Un blows up, would never happen in South Korea, film experts say.

There have been war movies, there have been movies depicting concentration camps and torture in the north etc etc
Ping.
If the NKs had millions of artillery shells pointed at me I would be more cautious too.
“What difference does it make?”
On 6-14-2014 A KBS (state broadcaster of South Korea) had a depiction of Kim Jong-un in a comedy gag called “King of Ratings” on their “Gag Concert” show.
It comes on at 41:42
It also has a comedian doing a black-face impersonation of Dennis Rodman, lol

Yes, you are right. Not only many artillery batteries but also missle batterys as well. Some estimate Seoul could be destroyed in four hours if counter-attacks from the South and the US didn’t blow these batteries off the face of the earth. This doesn’t take into account the tunnels under Seoul.
Not only missiles and arty, but teams of assassins and kidnappers who have killed or snatched South Koreans and Japanese.
The idea of a personal team of assassins coming directly to your door can be more potent than the generalized fear of a major war.
“I’ll take ‘Mad Men within Ballistic Range’ for $1,000, Alex”
“Why South Korean filmmakers would never make movie like ‘The Interview’”
And I give a sh*t because...?
You are so right. That is partly what the tunnels are for. Heaven knows how many there are. I’ve read several. Some, I suspect will be to take infrastructure from underneath although charges and detonations used would have to be quite large since these tunnels would, of necessity, need to be deep. Others would be used for transit of Nork troops, materiel and assassin squads as you suggest.
The Norks have been teaching the Palestinians tunneling techniques under the Israeli border so there is much to learn here and to prepare for in both nations. I hope both are.
