BERKELEY A teenager was fatally shot late Tuesday at a Mobil gas station on North Hanley Road here.
The victim was identified as Antonio Martin, 18, by his mother, Toni Martin.
Toni Martin and others at the scene said Antonio was shot by a police officer.
The body remained on the parking lot just in front of the Mobil gas station at 6800 North Hanley Road at about 1 a.m. Berkeley police cars were on either side.

I just read reports (perhaps apocryphal) that the suspect was alive and breathing for a while, but no ambulance came (or perhaps was not called). If true, that will rile this whole thing up again ... to say the least.

18 years old is an ADULT...and if he pulled a gun...well, stupid is as stupid does.
Just sayin’...of course the mobs will be out in force...again.
Reports are that he pulled a gun and shot at the police first:

"Fearing for his life, the Berkeley Officer fired several shots, striking the subject, fatally wounding him. The second subject fled the scene," the statement added.
He would say that, wouldn't he?
