Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman’s Yisrael Beytenu party may have run on a joint ticket with Likud in the last elections, but in a closed meeting on Tuesday he sharply attacked Prime Minister and Likud head Binyamin Netanyahu’s political management.

According to Liberman, Netanyahu’s policy of placing supreme emphasis on maintaining the status quo is “failed,” reports Haaretz. […]

In the meeting, which took place at Tel Aviv University, Liberman stated that Israel is not initiating any political processes and warned that without a peace agreement, Israel’s ties with the EU will be harmed and the Israeli economy will suffer serious damage.

Liberman in the meeting also hinted that a continuation of the standstill was liable to cause EU sanctions, like those imposed on Russia. …

Another one doing the 180° turn, like Olmert and the late Sharon. What is making them fear the EU all of a sudden?

The title just got worse.

Liberman Calls for Jewish Expulsions to Pacify EU

According to Liberman, Israel needs a peace agreement including the evacuation of Jewish communities because Netanyahu’s policy of placing supreme emphasis on maintaining the status quo has “failed,” reports Haaretz, which received recordings from the meeting at Tel Aviv University. …
Same thing as what happened with Gaza. Will these politicians let “Palestine”-friendly EU bully them into the sea next?

Are these Israelis naive, stupid or traitors?

The Palis won’t recognize an Israeli state even if it gave up Jerusalem.

Frankly, if the Joos give up their homeland like this, then they just won’t have one. They have every capability of defending it against any foreseeable foes, and doing so resoundingly and expeditiously. Very, very expeditiously indeed. But, if they just wimp out...well....

Perhaps if any of them survive another diaspora, then in another 2000 years the good Lord might try them out again? Maybe they’ll be ready to have their own country then?

Hey Liberman, you’re either an American or a Jew. Pick one.

Good cop, bad cop — it’s a great strategy. And he and his party will lose ground in the upcoming election, but still wind up in the governing coalition, with Likud having more seats. Besides this criticism, he’s also being criticized for being too harsh in his response to the EU “initiatives”. Politics is politics is politics.

Liberman couldn’t be stupid. He surely knows that thenonly “peace agreement” that is possible is one recognizing the 1946 border.

They once said the same thing about Sharon.

And Olmert, when mayor of Jerusalem, used to insist that he would never let the city be divided.
