The weak link in the airport security systems has always been, and always will be, the airline employee.
And minimum wage contracting hasn’t helped that out, one bit.
It’s a good thing NYC has the strictest gun control laws in the nation. Without those strict laws, we would have police officers being gunned down in their patrol cars.

Oh good I was afraid they were moving drugs. KABC radio host Bryan Suits described a similar operation in Los Angeles a few months ago where bikers would lounge in the terminal bar all day and meet with the ramp workers to exchange bags in the mens room. He contacted police about what he saw and maybe they listened.

Guns on the other-side of the security screening are common for those that want them, just like knives, crack, meth, dope, etc.
Airports are hundreds of acres with very little perimeter security other than a chain link fence.
There is contraband in employee spaces at nearly every US airport today, but passengers are the ones turned inside out by the TSA.....go figure.

Since the federal government seems to require all Muslims dressed in Muslim garb and Somali immigrants work inside the airport I am assuming someone working as a baggage handler is a more equal person of color that didn’t do nuthin’ was a good boy who loved his 5 kids turning his life around as an aspiring rapper who just made some bad decisions.
I watched the press conference. It confirmed my concern that the hell you have to go through to get on you flight is just for show punishing us for whatever political reasons.
