President Obama on Thursday signed an executive order officially creating a “Task Force on 21st Century Policing,” a high-level group that will report directly to the president with recommendations on how to strengthen ties between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Mr. Obama first announced the task earlier this month on the heels of unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, and New York City, where the deaths of black men at the hands of police officers further fractured ties between police departments and citizens.
The task force will be chaired by Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey and Laurie Robinson, a professor of criminology, law and society at George Mason University. It will include nine other members and is scheduled to make recommendations to Mr. Obama by March 2, administration officials said.

Ramsey came from command ranks of the Chicago Police Department.
He is tight with Daley, Emmanuel, and Holder; otherwise, he would not have had such a ‘stellar’ career.
He will lend his ‘vast law enforcement experience’ to this committee, and endorse whatever Obama and Holder want to impose on local jurisdictions.
I suspicioned as much and doubt any others on this task force are any different. Thanks.
Police work isn’t difficult or dangerous enough; now you’ll have to prove to The Board that not one single word hurt the criminals’ feelings.

Several months ago, I commented that Mr. Obama was moving for a national police force and powerless,disarmed local police and sheriffs.
The fig leaf over fascism is slipping.
But the Mainstream REPUBLICAN leadership does nothing and says little.
Anyone with the intelligence of toe jam now knows what Mr. Obama is, and about his crony relationships with big business and big Media. And we now know how weak and impotent the REPUBLICAN Leadership is.
It is time for a new political party, based, not on greed nor founded on cowardice and expedience, but rather on honest government, open government, the principles of the Bill of Rights, and our historical, Constitutional reliance upon a God in the Judeo Christian tradition.
