How much does it cost to ship a truck to Syria?

Good question. It can't be cheap.

Was this one of those Cash-for-Clunkers vehicles?

Like Cash-AND-clunkers....0bola not only gave the Syrians our cash, he probably also gave them our clunkers :(

The vehicles were supposed to be recycled or parted out.

Maybe some enterprising black-marketers stepped up and said, hey you dealers overflowing with snuffed clunkers, here’s yer recycling service right here!

A wink, a nod, a handshake and there they were.

It would be interesting to get the guy’s story.. call him up and say no you aren’t threatening, you are curious!

This type of stuff has been going on for decades.
A friend of mine had a old Toyota back around 91-92 era that he sold to a broker instead of trading it in, since he gave him about twice what it would have fetched at trade-in. He asked what was the deal? The broker told him that they ship good American used cars to Latin America and overseas where they are in high demand, and his old car would sell easily for twice what he gave for it. So there is profit to be made............
