Press, left swoon for Warren

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is still using a strict present-tense “not running” as her answer to questions about her possible presidential ambitions. But that seems increasingly likely to change given the overwhelmingly positive (and generally overwhelming) coverage of her bid to harass the White House and Senate leaders over Wall Street carve outs stuffed in a fiscal-cliff spending bill. The Daily Beast called her the “most powerful Democrat in America.” The WaPo warned Warren’s moves may force 2016 frontrunner Hillary Clinton to alter her plans. And Warren got star treatment all up and down the major media corridor. Most remarkable is that in doing what was previously called reckless embitterment when Republican renegades did it, Warren is leading a movement in which “the Democratic Party debates its soul.” Oh dear. Somebody get the smelling salts. [...]

I can’t think of a downside. She is unelectable and she could derail the hildabeast.

That she will derail Hillary, yes she will. That she is unelectable? I would not go that far. I believe that the same thing was said about the current occupier of the White House. Never underestimate the intelligence of the voter. No matter how low you think they can sink, they always rise to the occasion.

Not surprised at all. On DU they have been swooning over Warren for years now. She is the one that has been in the wings, their very own Obama disaster in waiting.

When I think of the country they want, I shake my head. Why don’t they all just move to Cuba? It’s already there. The laws are just about the same.

“Press” and “left” is kind of redundant, not to mention repetitious.

I kinda wonder if the Left are putting Fauxcahontas forward not so much to get her nominated, as they are to send a message to Hitlery that if she wants their support, she needs to tow their line.
But then again, maybe it’s both..

Stick a pitchfork in sour-puss-Harry-Reid's hand and stand drab-granny-faced Pocohauntus next to him and you'll have a perfect replication of Grant Wood's famous painting, "American Gothic".

(Sometimes I sure wish that I knew how to photoshop).

The election dynamics are different for warren than for obummer. The blacks always vote as a bloc and women now tend to lean more towards liberal candidates but not by a decisive margin. Obummer got all of the liberal votes regardless of gender and he got the crossovers. He also got all the minorities.

Warren probably wouldn't get the same level of support from that base. I strongly suspect either the hildabeast or warren would not get as much of the hispanic or male votes particularly if Cruz were to oppose either of them.

IMO warren will get reamed on the fauxahontas issue by the hildabeast and that will carry over into the general election if she does win the nomination.

All that being said, unfortunately either will run on the "It's time for a woman" platform and that will squeeze the "social guilt" and "liberal at any cost" trendy voters into her domain but they are usually part of the dim bloc anyway. Also the lsm will gush over whoever the dim is so they will taint the campaign with their bias.

It goes unsaid that the Republican choice will make a huge difference in how the votes line up. Cruze for example could fracture the hispanic bloc while another Bush or Romney would not.

Yeah, like Bath House was unelectable.

The leftists are insane and they are good recruiters to their cause, using envy as their main recruiting tool.
