Even the Republicans in TN are saying that now might be the time to raise the taxes on gas. As if prices are never going back up.
NOt in New York - socialist Cuomo imposes way too many taxes.
That was the same time period where the DOW fell from 12K down to 6500. Gasoline/oil went up after hurricane Katrina and kept going up with the surge in demand from China, India and other developing countries. It fell to $1.86 in 2008 because of the Great Recession demand in US plummeted.
...and that is why Tom Petri is out of congress and Glenn Grothman, whose license plate is TAXCUTR is in congress.
When gasoline first hit $2.50, I tried taking the bus to work for a couple months.
Hurricane Katrina was August 2005. If you look at Thackney’s chart you will notice the first spike over $3.00/gallon.
It pulled back after that several times, but after that time period was when the surge in Asian demand started.
Back in 1995-2000, China was a country that did not have automobiles unless you were a high party commie. They had bicycles. This growth market is what Saudi Arabia is fighting Russia over. SA is not cutting production in order to hurt Russia & Iran.
Are these the same experts who were saying it would never get under $3-4 a gallon a few years ago
Expert: An individual that has carefully selected his data to back up every misconception he came up with. If any facts are involved it was an error.
lol
Saw on the news the other day it was $1.99/gallon near Republic MO. Has been in OK in some areas for the past 2 weeks or so.
What an opportunity! Pretend gas is still $3.50 a gallon; invest the difference between that and the actual cost every fill up.
I was rounding up to the next even number.
That's very odd.
Gas war here in Cent Indiana
$1.90 and dropping fast
I thought I hit is big at $2.12 on Saturday....
If/when it hits $2/gal around here, I’ll be taking the truck out for her first aimless drive, purely for the pleasure of it since .. well, since GWB was in the WH !
I have ‘05 Lincoln Aviator in perfect condition that I drive about 40 miles per month. It just uses to much fuel. Well that was then this is now...
Yee ha!
Not until the holiday travel season is done.
I fully expect a pointless half-hour's drive thru the country to evoke the same sorta yee ha is your boat above .. lol !
Hard to imagine a better indicator of what the communist maggots have done to our country in six short years . . .
