Kenneth Timmerman's book Dark Forces: The Truth about what happened in Benghazi suggests that the reason Ambassador Stevens was sent to Benghazi was to prepare for a photo-op visit by Hillary herself which was intended to showcase Libya as a foreign policy success for the Obama administration just before the election.
