Pulling a worn, yellowed copy of the 1992 U.N. climate change convention from her handbag, Farhana Yamin points to the paragraph that states its goal: To stabilize greenhouse gas concentrations at a level that would prevent dangerous warming.
It doesn't provide any guidance on how to do that.
But Yamin does. And, in a historic first, dozens of governments now embrace her prescription. The global climate pact set for adoption in Paris next year should phase out greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, says the London-based environmental lawyer.
"In your lifetime, emissions have to go to zero. That's a message people understand," said the Pakistani-born Yamin, who has been instrumental in getting that ambitious, some say crucial, goal into drafts being discussed at U.N. talks in Lima this week.

I can certainly name quite a few individuals from which I’d like zero emissions.
Water vapor comprises over 93% of “greenhouse gases”.
This alone makes reliable, computer generated, “climate models” impossible.
It also makes ridiculous the claim that man-made CO2 has a determining effect on climate.
In a world with millions starving, economies on the brink of collapsing, Muslim fanatics killing millions, and thousands of other real critical life or death issues, it still amazes me that there are fools and idiots out there that give any serious concern to Global Warming.
I’d sooner have faith in the Flying Spaghetti Monster than these morons.
Uh, carbon dioxide makes up only 0.038 of the atmosphere. Human activity accounts for a microscopic fraction of that.
So for all intents and purposes, our emissions are pretty much at ZERO.
So, uh, yay... We did it! Woot woot!
Obama could make that happen. If the communist gets his way for the next two years, we’ll be able to afford less energy per capita than the tribal areas of Afghanistan.

I have a better idea. Let’s stop the earth from warming further. Farhana, you accomplished your mission in 1999.
And the power plants that generate the electricity that charges the batteries of the “zero emissions” vehicles? Far more energy is consumed to do this than is used by a gasoline vehicle.
Considering that gay marriage is an incredibly inefficient way of conceiving children, one wonders what they all have in mind, or what the algorithm is behind all this stuff the media propagandates about.
And how much C02 was generated flying her from Pakistan to Peru? These far-flung climate conferences with thousands of diplomats and so-called scientists flying in from around the globe to decry C02 emissions kill me.
0.04% now, and human activity is most of the reason it rose from 0.028% to 0.04% and rising. Without human activity it might have risen to 0.029% or so with the natural warming at the end of the Little Ice Age.
I thought man-made CO2 makes up .28% of green house gases.
Still an insignificant number
But the real fact is that without CO2 we would not exist. Plants inhale CO2 and create Oxygen. Without Oxygen life as we know it would not exist
The solution is simple and cheap

I am by no means a fan of electric cars, but they use about as much fossil energy as a 60mpg gasoline car based on the cost of that energy. That includes taxes on the gasoline which are not being paid in the generation and use of electricity.
See my post. Man’s activities have increased CO2 from 280ppm to 400ppm, far more than the rise would have been naturally from natural warming.
