House GOP Leaders Trick 216 House Republicans into Accidentally Supporting Obama's Executive Amnesty
Breitbart ^ | 12-8-14 | Matthew Boyle

In a lengthy interview on Friday afternoon, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) exposed how House Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Majority Whip Steve Scalise strengthened President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty with procedural trickery former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber would envy—and they did it all in the name of pushing a bill that they told Republicans would block Obama’s executive amnesty.

What’s more is that a series of interviews and recent developments indicate that Boehner’s gambit here is placing several of his top lieutenants—including at least two committee chairmen—at political risk of serious primary challenges just a few months after newly elected Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA) beat now former House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) in a Republican primary.

Gohmert said most members had no idea what they were actually voting for when 219 members—216 of which were Republicans—approved a measure, H.R. 5759, first put forward by Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL), but subsequently dramatically altered by leadership officials in the Rules Committee process.

“I was a cosponsor of the original Yoho bill. I thought it was a very decent bill, it was very short—it was only about a page and a half—and it basically said that anything the president did in violation of current law including what he’s done with ordering work permits for people who are illegally here, it’s illegal,” Gohmert said.

Conservatives in the House, do not allow the Amnesty Promoters (Boehner, etc.) to “slip” any enabling language in the bill to indirectly support Obama’s actions.

This action is BEYOND REPREHENSIBLE. Remember that Boehner’s operatives will be trying this stuff over and over. Always be on the lookout for it and nip it in the bud each and every time.

So, we have the "Lying Clown Prince"
With his aide-de-camp Harry Reid,(A/K/A "pocket veto")
and now spineless Boehner, unless he's drinking, or crying ..
and we are supposed to trust the "loyal opposition " leadership ?
This place is being run by those who should be INMATES !!

Why does the House always wait until the last minute to ram a bill thru?
With no time to read the bill.

House leadership DOES not want to give time to read the bill.

If this bill is so damn important, why didn’t they do it two months ago?

Okay, it’s official - all so-called Republicans in D.C are chicken-sh*t wimps and imbeciles (is it a virus or a poison that gets them up there??). This is exactly why I left the Repubs years ago and became an Independent. Over and over and over they get a little traction, an election result gives us some hope, and within WEEKS they are throwing us under the bus as they cave in to every whim and wave the demoncrats throw at them.

Claiming ignorance about what is in a bill is insulting and stupifyingly idiotic. It’s their frikkin JOB to know what they’re signing onto and voting for! It’s common sense! Of COURSE the demoncrats will play dirty if you let them. It’s their very nature. It’s not rocket science.

Guess they bought into Pelosi’s B.S. - you have to pass it to find a out what’s in it. I am so done with them all. They just sicken me.

Representative McCaul

I have expressed my feelings about Boehner previously to you about his continued Speakership, and you responded that he was the only Congressman running for that office. I continued to vote for you. If you support Boehner again, I will not support your re-election again. Please speak to Congressman Gohmert about Boehner's trickery, and support him for Speaker, or Congressman Gowdy, or seek the position yourself.

Sincerely, XXXXX XXXX,

Pflugerville, TX. Submitted 12/08 2014

The most disturbing thing may be that our lachrymose Bonehead managed to swindle 216 Republicans.
Was this before or after they re-elected him to carry the GOP-e’s peripatetic white flag?

The Republicans didn’t “elect” him, they “nominated” him, and the next full House of Reps will vote on him.

Since Boner, McCarthy, Scalise and Rodgers are all “running” unopposed, I don’t anticipate anything next month but tears of joy from Speaker Waterworks.

"and we are supposed to trust the "loyal opposition " leadership ? "

That's exactl;y the problem.
The "loyal opposition" is
loyal to the opposition.

BTW - If anyone wants to elect me Speaker of the House, I pledge that I will not let The Usurper within five feet of me, much less touch me.

I further pledge that the only time I will speak its name (other than as "The Usurper") will be when I read it for a vote on articles of impeachment.

“That’s exactl;y the problem.

So are the idiots that demanded we elect them in the face of overwhelming evidence that they were exactly that.

An active vote for Harry Reid and Pelosi would not make a functional difference to Mitch/Bhoner in American governance. And functional difference is what matters. The only difference ‘at all’ is that the GOP lies to you about their intentions and then screws you while the dems are open about telling you what they are going to do.

Yup. We are now in a situation that a Dem is more honest than a Republican. Thats how bad this mess is. Ultimately the GOP actions are fully FUNCTIONALLY Democrat so I will advance the somewhat radical notion that we either avoid the middle man or actually vote FOR the governance we want. If we lose with a conservative, we lose. But if we win with a Republican we also lose worse because then liberalism advances on the ‘right’.

Did anyone expect anything else? The regime is firmly in place; bow down and accept your fate, you “stupid” people.

There will be no change until we, the people enact it. How? Simple, take the two things they crave most - your money and your vote. Don’t do a damn thing for their reelection.

For those who say he’s better than Pelosi, how?

For those who still want to take back the party from within, the people who started the GOP didn’t try to reform the Whigs. They just started from scratch and in 6 years, the Whigs were gone.

I contacted Pallazo on this and received a reply that, among other things, he had supported this bill. My reply:

Dear Congressman Pallazo, I recently received your reply about my concerns for illegal amnesty and what the Republicans are doing to rein in the Obama Administration. Part of your reply touted your support for H.R.5759, the Executive Amnesty Prevention Act.

From what I understand, H.R.5759, the Executive Amnesty Prevention Act, was not as many thought it to be and it actually put the shaft to the People rather than protecting the People from the illegal and un-constitutional actions by the Obama Admin.

IOW, Republicans were once again complicit in the underhanded dealings of the Democrats.

Can I assume you and your fellows are working diligently to fix the error and are also ready to actually actively resist and turn around the atrocities that have been perpetrated on the American Citizens (The People) over the last 6 years? If so, you can count on my support. If not, we will be actively seeking out replacements until we achieve a conservative Republican Party that will actually represent those it presumes to represent. Please work to do what's right and lawful for the People instead of countenancing the treachery that Republicans have been allowing with little more than some ineffectual lip service or a foul up such as H.R.5759 - it is a really poor example of your efforts to assure me that you are on, and up to, the job.

Sincerely, My Real Name

We need to keep riding our reps on this and all the rest if we want to be able to tell ourselves we are actually working to make things right - get out and push on your reps!
