I was mistaken for a wanted kidnapping/murder suspect once. It was intense but de-escelated quickly.

I was backing out of a parking space and suddenly had a gun in my face and a cop screaming at me to stop the car. I complied and and asked to put the car in park and shut off the ignition which I did carefully with my left arm out the window. I ended up in cuffs face down in the parking lot till things got sorted out. I was on my way home in under 20 minutes.

For which I imagine there was no compensation not even a written apology... and you did not sue...

In cases like this, if the actual culprit being sought is caught, that person even if nobody else should be held culpable for experiences such as yours.

That is definitely an adrenaline producing event. I wonder how many years of your life were shaved off by that?
