Have Black Voters Left the Building?
The American Thinker ^ | 12-8-14 | M. Joseph Sheppard

In July, New York Times political writer Nate Cohn wrote a long piece, "Demographic Shift Black Southern Voters, Poised to Play a Historic Role," in which he surveyed the collapse of white support for the Democratic Party (in the November election, Senator Landrieu in Louisiana received only 18 percent of the white vote) and the vital, as he saw it, new role of Southern black voters.

Using Georgia as an example, Cohn found that "demographics" might win the Senate for the Dems:

Today, 57 percent of black Americans live in the South; more than one million black Southerners today were born in the Northeast. Nowhere has the remigration done more to improve Democratic chances than in Georgia, where Democrats have a chance to win an open Senate seat this November. Since 2000, as the black population has risen, the share of registered voters who are white has dropped to 59 percent, from 72 percent.

And with the Senate race:

The state’s growing black population will give her (Dem candidate Michelle Nunn) a chance to win with less than one-third of the white vote. And a major reason for this optimism: "Mr. Obama is part of the reason for higher black turnout, which surpassed white turnout nationally in the 2012 presidential election, according to the census.

As we know now, the Democrats were beyond decimated in the South, losing every seat that was up for grabs, with Michelle Nunn in Georgia (who Cohn advised might also get in with the support of "a handful of the rural, Southern white voters who adored her [former senator] father" being clobbered by nearly 8 points.

Did the Clintons campaign for Nunn?

They had a phenomenal record this year with their campaign appearances, almost 100% loser endorsements!

Ironically, so do the dead. And they all vote the same way.

It will be interesting to see how they get the Black Democrat Plantation Slaves out to vote for Hillary or Liz Warren.

It isn’t Blacks that have left the building, it is millions of Democrat-voting WHITES....

A very noble thing for the blacks to withhold their votes if they feel disenfranchised.

yeah...new word here.....Remigration, supposed to describe why Georgia has 30% blacks I guess. They don’t and never will dominate the population of this state, and the Democrats cannot convince white people here to keep voting for them.

The “New Democrat Georgia” is a concocted media myth promulgated by dinosaur liberal media here coupled with a days-gone-by wishful dream of the past.

The FACT is that Michelle-mousy-Nunn got her ass kicked, even without a runoff. The FACT is Jason “Toothy” Carter got his ass kicked without a runoff.

Two hopeful legacy Democrats of former dinosaur Democrat politicians who are mainly remembered by dying Democrats and once revered by those same Democrats dead and buried.

The legacy of Talmadge, Nunn, Carter, et al is GONE. And unless blacks can “remigrate” to this state enough to displace the strong new conservative minded whites to affect the overwhelming emerging Republican majority, this is all just BS liberal Democrat wet dreams.

From the article:

“Massive black turnout affects the GOP’s presidential chances only in Virginia, Ohio, and Florida (with the Hispanic vote a counter-balance), and even there we will see, post-Obama, how permanent that is only from 2016 on; certainly it had no effect in the 2014 midterms. Why then should the GOP look to black support as a group rather than appeal to all groups on economics?

Blacks moved en masse from the Republicans to the Democrats because of Roosevelt’s economic policies. If the GOP can demonstrate that that is the path forward for all Americans and can point to the growing number of black conservatives as elected representatives, successful business people, professionals, and in the media, there can be an end to dogma and fear, and a move to a genuine multiculturalism based on mutual respect and mutuality of interest, with prosperity the cure for the ills of society. The laying to rest of “demographics” may also be the best thing for the Democrats as they seek to recover from the dead end that path has made for them.”

Republicans did it in 2008 and again in 2012 giving us Obama as president.

Should the Dems ever get control of all 3 branches again, look for them to push legislation to make voting mandatory. Or at least to compel you to produce proof that you voted in order to receive government benefits.

Remember, you heard it here first.

Since the south as well as the southwest, Texas, and the plains are still to an extent, reliably conservative, every effort should be made to move leftist voting bocks to the east and west coasts as well as the north eastern regions. That way when the SHTF, there`ll at least be a region of North America with a hope in hell of survival. Maybe we welfare reform is the key?

Accusing the ethnic majority of those who previously elect you of overt or implied racism tends to cause them to electorally request the honor of your absence.

I believe this will happen more and more if the situations (protests) like Ferguson and New York continue because I believe the Whites are sick and tired of the people causing this and Whites footing the bills for their fun.

I don’t blame all the blacks but enough of them side with the wrong doers that it is causing friction.

True. But, I’m thinking that in 2016 they will not have near the turn-out they had in 2008 and 2012. They’ve had their Black President (and he has disappointed many of them by not meeting their expectations); the novelty and excitement is gone. In the Black community, the 2016 Presidential Election will be very anti-climatic. The Dems will NOT clear out the jail houses, crack houses and HO houses, in 2016, like they did in the two previous Pres. Elections.

Blacks moved en masse from the Republicans to the Democrats because of Roosevelt’s economic policies.

It was LBJ with his civil rights and total medicade, housing, and freebie programs that made him claim, "I will have these n-66ers voting demonRAT for the next 100 years".

I hope for an awakening of blacks who have been enslaved on the Democrat plantation. I hope they will eventually see these people don’t have their best interests at heart. I hope that they will see that the US Constitution is a document that confirms their right to liberty and freedom, despite the devious intentions of the Democrat Party and the tyrant that is now in charge.

I hope, still.
