MILWAUKEE (AP/WITI) — An afternoon protest takes a criminal turn as it veers onto the interstate that lead to more than a dozen arrests.
The Sheriff’s Office says the group was stopping traffic and wouldn’t leave the freeway. 14 people were arrested and booked into the Milwaukee County Jail. 3 of those people are from Ferguson, Missouri.
A statement from Sheriff David Clarke says:
“I have made it very clear that arrests will be made when violations of the law occur, regardless of the protesters’ motivations. Law and order will be maintained.”
The group Occupy Milwaukee was behind Saturday’s protest. They have another event planned for Sunday, December 7th.

Occupying the freeway was a dumb idea.
Occupy the fast lane on the interstate?
Shut it down.
Never mind it inconveniences those who are prevented from getting home in the evening.
The protestors ran into a real sheriff, the law and order kind.
Good deal. The fines should be harsh. They’re putting lives in danger.
One hopes the D.A. will charge them, the judge or jury will convict them, and the light bulb will begin at least and at last to flicker.
Once again, the good Sheriff Clarke demonstrates his excellent judgment. He is by all accounts an admirable man.
What is it with these ferals walking in the middle of the streets like they own it? Now its a right to disrupt traffic? Idiots is right.
It’s about time! It has been totally out of line to allow protestors to shut down highways.
They should try that on the interstate with black ice on it.

I wonder how many black market cigarettes it costs to rent an occupy drone.
Too bad the police here in St.Louis don’t operate the same as Milwaukee’s. The protestors have shut down our highways and shopping centers. Absolutely ridiculous.
By the way, visited Milwaukee in October. Beautiful, beautiful town. Great food too.

I can’t get any farther than this. Conjugation of nouns and verbs is taught in about 4th grade. God help us with Common Core.

Don’t try to occupy Sheriff Clarke’s freeway. LOL
Most of Milwaukee would close down in sympathy, but the Freeways are the jurisdiction of Sheriff Clarke, who is probably the most conservative elected official in Wisconsin.
He stood with the Freepers in 2000, speaking during the Sore-Loserman protests.
