Egyptian Human Rights Activist Ahmad Harqan: ISIS Is Doing what the Prophet Muhammad Did

In an October 21 TV interview, Egyptian human rights activist Ahmad Harqan explained why he had become an atheist and said that Islam is a "harsh religion," which was being implemented by ISIS and Boko Haram. They are doing "what the Prophet Muhammad and his companions did," said Harqan. According to media reports, Harqan and his pregnant wife survived an assassination attempt on October 25, and when they went to the police to complain, were arrested for disrespect to Islam.

Atheist Ahmad Harqan: I do not believe in the existence of God. Being non-religious and leaving Islam is not something that I wanted, but having lived 27 years of my life in this religion, I decided that I could not go on [believing] in it.

All people could reach the same conclusion, if they were allowed to think freely about this. But the reality is that people are denied the opportunity to reach this decision. They are not allowed to think critically about religion.

Islam is a very harsh religion, and what ISIS is now doing is, perhaps, a physical manifestation of this religion.

The Quranic texts are crystal clear. When the Quran says "strike their necks," it is very clear. When it says "Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day, and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful, and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture – until they give the jizya willingly while they are humbled" it is very clear, and ISIS understands and implements it in Iraq, Syria, and elsewhere.

Boko Haram are also implementing this when they capture women. This is what the Prophet Muhammad and his companions did.

Egypt embraces, Bahais, Ahmadis, Communists, Marxists, Satan worshippers, homosexuals... Egypt embraces them all because it is the mother of all cultures and religions, even if some people renounce this.

When you say that "ISIS is like Muhammad," and that Islam is "a criminal faith"...

Ahmad Harqan: I do say that it is a criminal faith, and that the Quran is full of teachings that incite to hatred and murder.

Sheik Sayyed Zaid: First of all, who says that ISIAS is an Islamic group? About a week ago, the American media declared that the ISIS leader, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi – who has nothing to do with Islam – is of Israeli origin. This is a Mossad ploy. America said this, not me.

Ahmad Harqan: I know that this is not true because people who used to be my friends joined ISIS.

Assassination attempt and arrest[edit]
According to media reports, Harqan and his pregnant wife, Nada Mandour (Saly) Harqan, survived an assassination attempt 4 days later - in the evening of October 25, 2014. Harqan managed to flee with his wife after having some injuries and went to the Alhanafie–Alajlany police station to report the incident along with their friend Karim Jimy. Instead of taking action to help Harqan and his wife, the police officers further assaulted them and they were imprisoned charged with blasphemy and “defamation of religion” under article 98 in the Egyptian penal code. Harqan’s lawyer was humiliated and kicked out of the police station.[5]

Eventually Ahmad and Saly Harqan, and their friend Kareem Jimy were released and charges against them were dropped.

Islam really is the religion of the sword. Mohammed had a huge sword collection, a lot of them stolen from other people, and he gave a name to each of his swords because he was kind of a psycho.

One of his favorite swords was Dhu al-Faqar or “Cleaver of Vertebrae”. When you see this kind of sword on a Jihadist flag, that’s ole Faqar. Muslim legend says that the sword was given to Mohammed by an angel. Actually he looted it in battle or his followers did.

“Dhu al-Faqar is the name of this sword, taken as Booty by the prophet Muhammad at the Battle of Badr. It is reported that the prophet Muhammad gave the sword to Ali b. Abi Talib, and that Ali returned from the Battle of Uhud covered with blood from his hands to his shoulders, having Dhu al-Faqar with him. “

How much did Mohammed like his swords? He named them. And he liked them more than his wives or just about anything else.

“The al-Rasub sword is one of the nine swords of the prophet Muhammad. It is said that the weapons of the house of the prophet Muhammad were kept among his family just like the Ark was kept with the Israelites.”

Except the Ark contained the word of G-d, while the sword was something that Mohammed used to murder non-Muslims. There is no better contrast between religions.

Cheerful story. Nothing to do with Islam of course, except for it involving its prophet and his campaign to convert everyone to Islam by the sword… of which he had a whole bunch.

The sword got passed down to various Muslim Caliphs and rulers until one of them tried to kill a dog with it and it broke. It might have been the obvious design flaw.
So much for the magic sword.

But let’s not be judgmental. It turns out that Mohammed also had the sword of a whole bunch of people.

“The al-Battar sword was taken by the prophet Muhammad as booty from the Banu Qaynaqa. It is called the “sword of the prophets” and is inscribed in Arabic with the names of David, Solomon, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, Zechariah, John, Jesus, and Muhammad. It also has a drawing of King David when cut off the head of Goliath to whom this sword had belonged originally. . . .”

The Banu Qaynaqa were among the Jews massacred by Mohammed and his murderous thugs. In the twisted mindset of Islam having a sword with a bunch of names of religious figures on it means that you succeed them.

Islam really is the religion of the sword.
