I have to ask “How did the cop know he was shooting the right person from a hundred yards away?”
I’m more impressed with his eyesight than with his marksmanship.

Nice one-handed shooting! [I wonder how much range time he got before that great shot - probably a lot, regularly.]

We used to shoot an IPSC stage called "Ol' Eagle Eye".
Several trios of standard targets worked you to a doorway where, 100 yards downrange, was a 12-inch stop plate.
The stage had a maximum time of 2 minutes - to keep people embarrassing themselves too badly.

Jeff Cooper and Elmer Keith had their front sights modified with a gold line across the face sight. Line up this gold bar with the back sight, the target on top of the front sight and they could hit almost anything at 100 yards(300ft).
I do the same with an auto pistol I have. I line up the base of the front sight with the top of rear sight, place the target on top of the front sight and can hit it at 25 yards. Using the sights normally makes the hit very low.
