The family of a suspected thief is lashing out after their son was shot during an armed robbery. Relatives of Adric White, 18, believe the Good Samaritan who opened fire should have "just left the store." The Good Samaritan told FOX10 News he was shopping at the Family Dollar on Stanton road when he noticed a masked gunman leading one of the employees to the front of the store. "He had the gun to his head. He had him on his knees," said the man. "I drew my gun on him and I said 'Hey don't move.' At that point he swung around and before he had a chance to aim the gun at me I fired. I didn't want to shoot him." "They (the criminals) tend to think that they are the only ones with guns. I've been legally carrying my firearm for a little over four years now, and thank God I've never had to use it until, of course, last night. It just goes to show it's good to have a concealed carry. you never know when your going to need it.

I appreciate your posting. The story may have appeared before and I didn’t see it or I did and just don’t remember because it didn’t register at the time as anything particularly important, just another thug doing what thugs do and good guys doing what good guys do!
Thanks Grams. It was actually a current story at a right wing Facebook linked site so that’s why I assumed it was current. I reported abuse to get the link changed on that original posting. I guess that’s why it got removed.
Only from being alerted by other FReeper did I notice the date at You Tube when I posted this direct link to the video. :)
This was the link I originally tired to post and you will notice the date is from November 2014. :) Oh well. I’m just messing up a lot today...lol.
If he hadn't yelled a warning, he might have gotten a better shot. The Good Samaritan placed his life in even more danger by giving the thug a heads up.
