Mitt Romney: Republicans Should 'Swallow Hard,' Pass 'Permanent' Amnesty Bill
Breitbart ^ | 26 Nov 2014 | Tony Lee

Former Massachusetts Governor and failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney believes Republicans should "swallow hard" and pass a permanent amnesty bill in the wake of President Barack Obama's executive amnesty that even Romney conceded would encourage more illegal immigrants to enter the country.

There are still those here on FR that support and defend Mitt Romney because he was somehow 'less liberal' or something.

Because the worst liberal Republicans, for example, romney, are still better than the best dem. One of rove's trolls on FR even said so, so it must be true.

You never see Republicans stab their base in the back, ever. Not a smidgen.

If they pass it they own it.

Any problems, like Black unemployment rising, and the MSM will forget Obama and scream it’s the Republican’s fault because they passed it.

He is wrong.

It is clear that something will have to be done besides sending 15 million people back to their home countries. As much as we might want that to happen, it is not going to happen. But with anything that gets done, we start with securing the border and getting rid of criminals.

Any type of amnesty begins with a limited number of people who have been productive, been here for a considerable period of time, paid taxes, and not been living on taxpayer money.

Conservatives must never vote for RINO’s.

Under a shallow veneer, RINO’s are just Democrats masquerading as Republicans.

Never vote for a RINO!

Revealing his true colors there. He just announced what an idiot he truly is and further confirms my belief that no blue bloods, silver spoons, or lawyers should ever be elected again. I think that the reason only lawyers run for office is because of their money and the fact that their lowered moral standards assists them in swindling people people without conscience to get that money and to build up theirwar chests to do so in the first. This doesn’t apply to all attorneys. I do know a few good ones but it’s only a smidgen. The rest are just as self entitled and self serving as the gibmedats. Might be the reason they get along so well in the political arena...

Quite to the contrary, Master Mittens. First, secure the border then: Employers found employing illegals, be it on or hundreds, should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and if convicted, suffer the maximum penalties. Police should check citizenship on all suspect contacts/arrests and those found to be illegally in the country must be turned over to Immigrations for deportation. Close the immigration courts, immigration officers must deport all illegal detainees. Problem will be solved in 6 months after this protocol is initiated.

If you don’t believe in something you will fall for anything.

Democrats and RINOs do not understand people who actually believe in something and are not willing to compromise principles and beliefs for a better seat at the table.

They think elections are just a race to get what they can - to get first dibs at the pig trough.

Ayn Rand:

“In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit.”

Just another reason why that #$$%^/€€&/ and his little buddy “Jeb” shouldn’t be nominated.

The GOP should craft a bill with LIMITED amnesty including draconian border and VISA security measures. Absolute amnesty is an idiotic idea, representative of “Jeb” and Romney’s defective thought processes.

No such thing as “permanent”, just incremental steps towards what the Left really wants. They’re patient, will take 50% or 25% or 10%, knowing they’ll come back for the rest later.
