Vanity Question: Is the site below a true conservative site? Something feels off to me...

I ask because this seems really off to me. To call obama a Republican is so far out there from what I have seen just rubs me wrong on every level.

What say you? Is the website in question legit?

Well, he's certainly not a conservative.

But I think he's a democrat.

I’m not a paleo con.

Have never been one.

As a neo con, I think some aspects of the welfare state are worth keeping but I detest huge, sluggish and incompetent government.

You can usually get more with less.

"I’m not a paleo con...
As a neo con ..."

Well, I can honestly say that I'm neither a paleo-con or a neo-con ...

I'm more of a Ghengis-con ....

The “elephant in the room” is that much of the government itself has become a last employment refuge for the “sluggish and incompetent.” And we see the results daily. I think this is why our politicians are loathe to streamline and downsize government at all levels, fearing that would put millions out of work who are pretty much unemployable in the private sector.

Several months back I had a Tea Party leader call me and tell me that faux tea party Facebook pages were being setup for RINOs by liberals right before the election to make it look like the Tea Party was supporting those candidates when they weren’t. Turned out he was right but it was too late in the game to post enough comments on their Facebook pages to expose them and the RINOs got elected or re-elected depending on who they were.

So to answer your question...yes it’s very possible. I’ve noticed that website and thought the same thing. There are lots of liberal Democrats out there in posing as Republicans (RINOs). They’ll often vote one way on issues to make themselves look conservative then go back and change them later. So yes there are lots of liberal Alinkskytes out there who lie and are wolves in sheep’s clothing that will engage using whatever any ends justifies the means method to achieve their agenda. You can identify them by their actions not their word.

OK, I'll say it.

Some posters on this site are delusional, neglecting to treat us as adults, and give us a sentence, or several telling us why his freaking opinion is important. Give us few facts to justify your opinion.

I am not wasting my time watching a moron's video or unsupported opinions.

Sorry.

Social conservative, Anti-war, anti-amnesty, anti-mass-immigration and focussed on long term goals rather than Bush offering short term freebies for short term political gain.

It means “old” - someone a believe in an ancient as opposed to a newer form of conservatism:

“Paleoconservatives in the 21st century often highlight their points of disagreement with neoconservatives, especially regarding issues such as military interventionism, illegal immigration and high rates of legal immigration, as well as multiculturalism, affirmative action, and foreign aid, all of which they oppose. They also criticize social welfare and social democracy, which some refer to as the “therapeutic managerial state” the “welfare-warfare state” or “polite totalitarianism”. They identify as the legitimate heirs to the American conservative tradition.”

I don’t see them as being realistic about the welfare state, about our enemies abroad and how best to preserve freedom. I dislike their isolationist viewpoint and the notion we just can turn the clock completely back. That’s not life and change is coming whether we like it or not.

There are no RINOs, there are only liberal Republicans. Until the liberal Republicans are run out of that party, they will continue to go the way of the whigs.
